The Panchro/i Classic Prime Lens is color balanced, color matched, and compatible with Cooke 5/i, S4/i, miniS4/i, and Anamorphic/i, making it a convenient addition to your existing equipment. It's equipped with /i Technology for frame by frame digital information capture, a feature that allows cameras to automatically record key lens data for every frame shot. This technology provides post-production teams with digital access to crucial information such as lens setting, focusing distance, aperture, depth-of-field, hyperfocal distance, and serial number, streamlining production and post-production processes and saving time and cost.

This lens is expertly crafted using traditional grinding and polishing techniques to achieve the highest level of precision. More insights and measurements are taken than ever before to ensure superior quality. The lens coating and cementing process involves evaporating minerals at a high temperature in a vacuum to create a thin film on the glass. The glass diameters are perfectly round, thanks to meticulous edging. The lenses are rigorously tested, checked, modified, cleaned, and rechecked during the cleaning and assembly process.

The Panchro/i Classic series comprises of 12 Prime Lenses, all optically designed to provide the classic and infamous vintage Speed Panchro look of the 1920s as well as the Cooke Look. This lens offers a super35 version of the famous Cooke Speed Panchro lenses of the past, combining the vintage look with modern opto-mechanical design.

The Panchro/i Classic Prime Lens features an ergonomically designed focus movement for smooth and accurate travel. It utilizes precision mechanics to provide a consistent feel in operation through the entire focus movement. The Cooke /I Technology ecosystem provides critical lens metadata such as focus and Iris position as well as individually calibrated lens distortion and shading maps, making it suitable for the most modern VFX applications such as Virtual Production shooting.

All Panchro/I Classic series Primes have standardized 0.8 MOD focus and Iris drive gears and feature a fixed common front diameter of 110mm. The lenses are compact and suitable for all shooting applications. They are color balanced and color matched, ensuring consistency across the series. The Panchro/I Classic series of prime lenses feature a nine-leaf linear module iris assembly, providing an aperture range of T3.0. All lenses have factory calibrated focus scales with clearly identifiable distance marks.

The lens comes with a precision PL Mount with /i Technology Electrical Contacts and a durable and hard-wearing surface finish to meet the needs of the most demanding environmental conditions.
