This could be a great little lens like its less-powerful sibling, the 3/6/9X version...but, the lenses have way too much spherical aberration to be useful except for using any one lens alone for 5X.  Spherical aberration is what makes things increasingly distorted as one looks further away from a lens' center.  Forget this lens and get the 3/6/9X version.  Try something else if you require more than 9X magnification.

Poorly-designed (extreme sperical aberation)

Not bad at all - happy w/ price paid + features quality. Robust size & lightweight - lens diameter (millimeter) is slightly larger than objective lens, on my 8x25 binos. Dense & clear, acrylic optical lens - found tiny scratches on 2 of the loupes. Being new - individual loupes rotate stiffly. Each independent loupe is 5x power - combining to max 15x. Simple & versatile use - young & old..!
