When it comes to delivering true studio sound on the live stage or in a broadcasting studio, the d:facto 4018V Softboost Supercardioid Microphone with SE2 Wireless Adapter, Nickel, stands out. This microphone is part of the renowned d:facto series, known for its extraordinary sonic reproduction, natural sound, and high separation.
The d:facto 4018V microphone is designed with a modular structure, allowing you to switch the capsule and the adapter. This flexibility makes it one of the most versatile vocal microphones on the market. It is equipped with a supercardioid capsule, engineered to reproduce every nuance of the human voice with transparency, consistency, and thrilling clarity.
This microphone comes in two versions: the d:facto Linear Vocal Microphone (4018VL), which offers extreme linearity, and the d:facto Vocal Microphone (4018V), which is linear but with a high-end boost. The 4018V is often the preferred choice for broadcasting sets, as it 'cuts through' and delivers superior audio quality even on television speakers with limited audio capabilities.
Both versions feature an isolation-optimized supercardioid polar pattern, providing the best of both cardioid and supercardioid patterns. They can handle loud vocals with a three-step pop-protection grid and offer best-in-class low handling noise.
The d:facto 4018V microphone is optimized for live performances, whether in a cozy club or a large concert hall. It enjoys high side and rear rejection with a minimum of 9 dB attenuation to the sides, offering a wider acceptance angle at the front than most supercardioids. This results in the same work field as a cardioid, but with extremely high and uniform side and rear damping.
The d:facto 4018V microphone is available in an extremely linear version for audio engineers who prefer to set their unique impression on the final sound, and a version with a pre-programmed high-end boost that offers a 3 dB soft boost at 12 kHz. Both versions are designed to capture electrifying live performances and accurately replicate a singer's voice.
Supercardioid microphones like the d:facto 4018V are most sensitive to sound coming in at the front and least sensitive at the back. They offer a narrower angle of sensitivity, making them more focused than a standard cardioid microphone. This makes them ideal for live stage performances and spoken-word events, where capturing the focused sound of an instrument or voice is crucial.
The d:facto 4018V microphone can be used with a sleek d:facto Handle for a wired solution or with a d:facto Capsule for a wireless system. The microphone works with leading wireless mic solutions such as Sennheiser, Shure, Sony, Wisycom, Lectrosonics, and Line6. The unique DPA Microphones' adapter system protects your investment in fantastic sound for years to come.
The included FAASE2-ewB Wireless Adapter offers flexible, simple, and affordable possibilities. With this adapter, you can switch your wireless system without incurring the cost of a new microphone, and without any loss or change in sound quality. This modular system is one of a kind in the industry, ensuring your investment in fantastic sound is protected for years to come.
