It is with great precision and versatility that the HVS-390HS HD/SD Video Switcher stands out in the broadcast equipment landscape, offering an unmatched level of reliability and performance. As part of the esteemed HANABI series, this switcher is equipped with a comprehensive suite of standard features designed to meet the rigorous demands of professional video production. These features include mixed HD/SD input capabilities, frame synchronizers, and a variety of effects such as 2.5D and 3D wipes, DVEs, and picture-in-picture, ensuring a seamless integration into any broadcast workflow.
The HVS-390HS boasts four keyers on each M/E, including two high-quality chroma keyers, which can be flexibly assigned as keyers or for picture-in-picture effects. Operators can freely assign up to four keyers to an AUX output or M/E output, enhancing the creative possibilities during live production. Each keyer includes a DVE with resize and perspective/tilt capabilities, allowing for dynamic visual effects that elevate the production value.
With two 3D DVEs on each M/E for background and keyer transitions, and a CG Wipe engine providing animated wipe/mix transitions, the HVS-390HS ensures that transitions are smooth and visually engaging. The 'next transition' feature, including direction for all keyers and background on each M/E, as well as FOR-A's On-Air programmable transition section, adds to the switcher's robust functionality.
The included Web Browser GUI offers comprehensive control and setup from a connected device such as a PC, Mac, or tablet, enhancing the user experience with its intuitive interface. FTP access for stills and clip sequences, along with built-in USB for stills, simplifies media management. The Web Browser also facilitates easy editing of macros, event memories, and key-frame sequences, streamlining the production process.
Industry-leading color correction is available with two per M/E, assignable for inputs or the entire bus, ensuring that the final output meets the highest visual standards. The switcher's 4 clip store capability, with up to 60 frames in each clip store, expands to 120 frames with the HVS-39MEM option, providing ample storage for complex productions.
The HVS-390HS is designed with redundancy in mind, offering optional redundant PSU for both the main unit and control panel, which are hot-swappable from the front of the MU. This ensures continuous operation, even in the event of a power supply failure. The internal multi-viewer layouts feature a safe-area generator and adjustable audio monitoring per window, catering to the specific needs of different production environments.
Dual multi-viewer outputs in HD mode, each with selectable layouts, provide comprehensive monitoring options, while the standard interface for multiple external device control ensures seamless integration with audio mixers, routers, and VTR/VDCP units via RS-422 and VDCP.
The HVS-390HS is not only a powerful tool for live events, sports, news studios, OB vans, editorial offices, and presentation venues, but it also offers an extreme choice in control surfaces with 6 control panels and 6 AUX control panels available. Featuring advanced AUX technology, the switcher can function as a virtual 6 M/E unit, making it a versatile solution for any production scenario.
In summary, the HVS-390HS HD/SD Video Switcher with HVS-392OU 2 M/E 20-Button Control Panel is a formidable choice for video creators looking to shape their imaginative ideas into high-quality video content. Its extensive feature set, combined with its ease of use and integration capabilities, makes it an ideal tool for a wide range of video production applications.
