Without the tether wire, the thing must have an onboard battery, and from what I understand the Quest 2 battery only lasts a couple of hours. The upgraded strap is mandatory, the carrying case is mandatory, so why not spring for the extra battery life as well. Worth it

Strap is more secure, comfortable, and convenient than the original. Case is sturdy and the battery life rocks. While I think the glasses should have come with a case due to how sensitive the screens are to lightdamage, I'm happy with the purchase.

Twice the battery life! Twice the comfort!

This is a must have if you plan on using the quest 2 over two hours at a time. This has over doubled the battery life of my quest 2. It also is much more comfortable due to the weight of the battery at the back of your head. It balances out the headset much better. Highly recommend!

Must have accessory! Well worth it!

Much needed accessory due to both the extended battery AND the much better and more comfortable strap. The twist back to adjust the fit is the most convenient thing especially if you have multiple people using this. It is also helpful that the display shows how much battery on the strap and the Quest 2 separately.
