Nice adapter.

This works well. Very well made. A little hard to get off the camera as it's such a high-tolerance fit and there's not a lot of room to grab it and twist, so be aware of that. Also, be sure you get the right one for your M42 lenses. Some have a little button that is pushed by a flange, and some don't, so double check.

Simple adaptor

Simple Adaptor that I use for Canon 6Dii to Helios 44-2 lens. A little heavier than it needs to be, but works totally fine.

Aperture flange

the flange depresses the stop down pin on screw mount lenses, a necessity if you want to use anything other than full open. Some screw mount lenses do not have a stop down feature built in.

Great product.

Perfect fit, strong material. Doesn't click in to place when placing mount to camera due to tight fit. Use lense to click it in to place.

Poor Design

I bought this M42 to Canon EOS adapter to mount a Helios 44-2 58mm to my Canon EOS 1DS. First problem: when attaching the lens to the adapter the threads are very loose - poor tolerances in either the adapter or the lens. Second problem: the lens with the adapter mounted to the camera okay and there seemed to be enough clearance for the mirror; however, a push of the shutter release caused the mirror to lock-up and the camera to throw an error. Upon closer inspection I found that the adapter rests against the few longer EF pins at the bottom of the mount - not good. All-in-all this is just another example of a Chinese made piece of junk that probably works in some cases but obviously not all and should not be marketed as such.

Precision machining

Excellent fit and finish. One of my lenses makes contact with the mirror when focused to infinity. It's an adapter and so isn't a perfect solution but it does allow for the use of your old favorite glass with pleasing results I think. It does what it is designed to do, what more can you ask?
