The kit allows you to configure your rig in super high mode, high mode and low mode. It also includes the Low mode grip handle, which allows for more comfortable hand placement for the operators control hand, when working in low mode.
Note:The Arm posts and post grips are only compatible with the xARM.
Arm posts
These telescopic arm posts allow for higher sled placement on your xARM for PRO and Tiffen (0.74" and 0.51") standard gimbals. It comes with two different arm posts lengths (265mm/10.5" and 165mm/6.5") and both are telescopic meaning the user can, with the two included arm post grips, position the perfect height of operation.
For secure placement one grip is placed on the top and one on the bottom, preventing the arm post from sliding out in any direction. The two arm post allows for operation up to 203mm/8" and 103mm/4" above normal arm post height. The post grips use M4 screw for locking (allen key already supplied in xARM case).
Low Mode Grip Handle
The low mode grip handle allows for more comfortable hand placement for the operators control hand when working in low mode. Instead of controlling the gimbal handle, the operator have the option to have better reach and control using this grip handle. The grip handle has multiple 3/8" and 1/4" threads to allow any type of accessory mounting such as monitors / zoom or focus rocker / articulated arms etc.
The handle bar is equipped with 24 x 3/8"-16 UNC threads (18 x with anti-twist feature (ARRI accessory mount)) and 20 x 1/4"-20 UNC. The Low mode grip handle works not only with the xARM arm posts, but also with PROs 0.625" and Tiffens 0.74" and 0.51" arm posts.
Super-high/low mode link bracket
The Super-high/low mode link bracket, joins two arm posts with a lockable link, allowing the long and regular arm posts to be used both in high mode and low mode. In low mode, the user uses the 265mm /10.5" or 165mm /6.5" in the xARM and clamps the bracket at the bottom of the post, with the regular arm post on the other side connected to the gimbal. This gives 70mm more clearance between the sled and the arm and up to 215mm / 8.45" lower connection to the gimbal than normal arm post.
In high to super-high mode, the user uses the 265 mm/10.5" or 165 mm/6.5" in the xARM and clamps the post at the top with the link bracket and with the secondary long arm post or regular arm post connected to the gimbal.
The bracket serves the purpose not only extending high-mode, but also allows for better hand placement on the bracket itself, instead of on the gimbal. In low mode this combination gives an extra 70mm between the sled and the arm as well, giving more clearance and lower more comfortable operating. With both long arm posts, this super-high mode allows up to a 315mm / 12.4" higher connection than the normal arm post.
