Can not balance weights correctly. Instructions do not make it clear how to set up the weights correctly

If you have the Freefly Cinema Robot, then this product is....”a no brainer” Giving you the freedom to explore all the great accessories, including lenses and filters, all in fluid motion :)

All the videos I've seen show the upper and lower weight holders pivot. The newer version is stationary, and actually scrubs on the bottom pan motor. It's not impacting most shots, but I definitely can't do a barrel roll.

I have some moment lenses and I love that I can use them on the Movi Freefly because of these counter weights. It took about 30mins to balance it the first time, and I haven’t had to balance them again. Hekka easy.

I am new to it and love how simple it is to program it. Only things I didn’t like was the recommended counterweights are no where close to what really is needed, how heavy it is (need to work my biceps and triceps lol). I also don’t like that I seem to be fighting the gimbal of where I want it to face and where it wants to face. It may be operator error. Only time will tell.

The initial setup is a little difficult, but once you’ve got it, it’s as simple as screwing the counterweight on and off.

I tried using the Osmo Mobile 3 before trying the Freefly by Movi. I have been using the Moment wide and tele lens to film with the CRPL filter and these counterweights were what I had been missing to free my movements! The OM3 was good for filming until I started getting creative with the lenses. PLEASE consider investing into the Freefly with the counterweights if you will be adding tools to your filming repertoire. I have found the Movi to be extremely effective with this addition. Thanks Movi!

Setting up the counter weight was easy but getting to balance was tricky. I reached out to Moment after watching few tutorials and many attempts. Moment send me another video from Dirk-Jan which saved me. Thanks Moment. I am excited to use the Movi along with Moment lens.

Like the Movi itself, the build quality is really impressive for the price. Nicely machined metal, thumbscrews travel nicely. You'll want to add a small pouch or something to store the thinner screws in. They would be easy to loose. It comes packaged in a soft foam case that can be used to store it. I wish it had come in the same hard styrofoam case that the Movi did, but this isn't bad. Setup took a while the first few times I used it. I'd recommend watching the demo video on the Movi site. Once set-up it worked well on an iphone 8s with the added weight of a Moment case and lenses. After calibration, the gimbal seemed to perform normally with all of the additional weight.

Easy to use and does what you need it to do, doesn't get any simpler than that!!! The quality of the mechanism is very solid.

The Movi Counterweight and Counterweight XL allow users to achieve 3-axis balance when using a variety of external lenses (like the Moment Wide). Just screw on additional weights to balance roll, then slide the bottom weight fore and aft to balance tilt!
