Shopper : This appears to work with a Dynalite strobe head. Does it?Brands@ A : no, its too small for Dynalite KASEY R : It's made to specifically fit Flashpoint Budget Monolights. It is slightly adjustable, but I can't say for certain that it would fit a Dynamite strobe.
Rob m : Does this universal speed ring fit a strip box (about 12"x40") wouldn't the rods from box come into ring at a slightly different angle than a rectangular soft box? ( and therefor not fit?) will this ring fit a Sunpack MS-4000 Pro system? (if not what would?) ThanksDARRYL G : Since I use a different size soft box I can't really answer about your size. My initial response was to say no because of the long and narrow shape of your soft box. The shape would require the holes in the ring to be at different angles compared to the soft box I use. I'm not saying it won't work, but because of the angle difference, but it may make fitting the soft box to the ring more difficult because the ends will not be going into the holes in the ring at the proper angle.

Good value and function

Worked great for converting an offbrand lightbox to fit Speedotron lights. Had to fiddle with the screws on the head to get the mount to lock tight but once that was done, everything came together. Great low cost alternative to make use of existing gear.

Glow products are a great choice!

The speed ring pictured is designed to be used with rods. The rods will bend but it is much easier to insert the rods on the same side first then attach the rods on the opposite side. Over time new rods can be purchased separately.

Perfect Fit

Fits perfectly with Profoto OCF lights like the B2. Even better, unlike some Profoto adapters that keep the light back in the "tunnel" this allows the face of the light to be flush with the speedring surface. So you don't get that spotlight effect. About to buy a 2nd one of these.

Okay, but I am not mad

The ring free rotates but is locked onto the Bowens mount. As long as it did not jolt the softbox will be steady but I have a free swivel on my softbox now.
