Most durable and reliable flashlight ??

Used this flashlight last 5 years plus. It's never not worked or give me enough light. Charge is not holding as long as it used to but after all these years it still works for me just fine. Getting ready to replace it with the very same product. Thanks for building something that works.

it works

I bought my 250 over 2 years ago as an emergency light. all the lights work and never lets me down. I used the spot light on high until the last blue light and that was about 5 hours of burn time. I'm using the 250 panel for a recharge and the specs are right about taking 23-46 hours for a full recharge. I live in northern California and we have sun every day that can be cool to hot. when the lights go out my 250 goes on. just have patience for recharging.

Durable flashlight

This is the best flashlight I have ever had. The solar panels did not work long, but plug this thing in and charge it, it last forever. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I had to charge it. Very strong light beam, shines about 200-300 ft at night.

Best invention ever!

I love this for camping. I leave it set in the sun during the day and have a great flashlight for use at night. I put it in the cieling of my “Go” tent at night to get ready for bed. I love that I don’t have to worry about having extra batteries. I’ve probably had this for about 3 years now and it still works great. (I’ve never tried to use it to charge other devices.)

Solid Value

I have had a few similar products from other companies. The Torch 250 by far is better quality and includes 3 ways to charge: solar, via USB, and hand crank. Light brightness of flashlight and floodlight is very robust. Excellent value.

Earthquake Kit

This is a perfect addition, to our earthquake kit. Multi functionality suits to a tee. The light produced in both modes, is better than expected. Paired with a Nomad, you will always have light as needed. Plus being able to power up a phone, is a bonus

As good as advertised

Great quality and easy to use. Anxious to see how the solar charge works.

Yeah, good but with reservations

I used this for the first time last weekend and love all the features. It took me a while to figure out the buttons to push for what. I'm older and I need a lot of light at night. All in all, it provided that and it was a good first experience.

Not worth it

I purchased the Torch 250 at Costco a few months ago to use on a three week Trek I was planning. The lights all work great, the power bank is okay but not great and the solar charge option didn't work at all. It only charges in very direct sunlight and after three days of direct 98 degree Texas full sun it still only shows one light on the charge indicator. Doesn't charge any faster with the hand crank. Better power banks and flashlights are easily available and cheap. I bought this primarily for the solar charging option on long treks and for this it was a complete fail.

One great light

I do a lot of off road motorcycle camping so weight and function are important to me. This light does it all and it does it well. Buy it you wont be disappointed, as with all Goal Zero products this is a winner.

Great Flashlight

Ordered flashlight after Hurricane Irma. Wanted something that would give off a lot of light and would not have to worry about having batteries on hand. This product does both and then some. Very well made.

AWESOME!!!!!

the 3 different charging options represent 3 different situational states: (1) normal life, (2) loss of power grid, and (3) cowering in a dark cave ... I'm joking but there's actually some truth to this ... you can instantly switch from USB charging to solar charging to crank charging depending on the current state of civilization ... flood light is bright ... spot light is bright ... emergency lights are a great add-on ... and love that it's also a power-bank for other gadgets ... rock solid high quality construction ... and the design is very striking ... I absolutely 200% recommend this ... proven by the fact that I own 2 of them!!!

handy

I only used the torch a couple of times but I like it. A few charging options, the flood is bright enough to read in my tent and for brightened up my campsite in general. Great emergency torch too if the power goes out. Everyone should have this!

Grea to have when needed

We really like how this is made, cree LED is the way of the future, with technology advancing all the time, we here have agreed that in about 5 years the same torch 250 with have the same cree LED the battery system we feel will be 70% smaller while doubling the battery capacity, I myself feel we can reach 100 full hours, maybe an improvement where can turn on the area light but on the side have 1 millimeter green LED indicators of adjusting brightness by pressing a button going in 25% increments each LED lighting up per level of brightness

BEST THING SINCE BUTTERED TOAST!

I have been buying these for several years now. We live in the country and keep them on the dash of our truck to keep charged. We always have a flashlight. The variety of light is also great. Use it as a lamp while working or a spotlight. It also has an emergency light which is nice. Great gift for those son-in-laws, nephews and other hard to buy for guys. I son-in-law worked nights driving a truck and went through 2 of them. They could be a little more rugged and sturdy, but they are a great product and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a good flashlight that also charges your phone. Now if they can just get the Rock Out Solar Speakers to charge my phone! :

Concept was great...

These were purchased for backpacking trip to Ecuador. Excellent light(s). Strong, Powerful.... lasts a long time.... Especially for the extremely long night hikes looking for reptiles, insects and amphibians. There are a lot of useless features on this light that could go. It is FAR too bulky. As a woman with small hands I have to tell you it is NOT easy holding this monster for hours on end. That was a *major* design flaw. Large hands or especially tiny hands like mine there really is no curvature or designed way to hold this flashlight, especially with its odd shape. I found myself and others in my hiking group were constantly changing hands to give their primary hand a rest.

General purpose/emergency light

Good as an emergency light source. Nice that it can be charged a variety of ways. Overall it is pretty sturdy but my hook for hanging it broke almost right away. I have two, and both now have broken hooks. Because of that, I probably wouldn't recommend it.

All in one Flashlight

While it is great as a stand alone flashlight, it also has LED light while laying on its side can light a whole room during power outage. Also has capability to flash warning or call for help with red flashing light, all with the ability to self-charge from solar.

Solar Flashlight

We bought several of these for ourselves and our kids. The flashlights can charge from a wall plug, nomad solar panel and with a flip-out solar panel built into the flashlight. It is so versatile. The battery never ran down. It also has a hook which allows it to hang from almost anywhere. Great buy and glad we have it.

best Flashlight I have ever owned!

I am a collector of Flashlights (just ask my wife) I am always buying them at ever home improvement store, etc. I have never owned a better flashlight than the torch 250. It is plenty bright at 250 lumens and has multiple light levels. The solar recharge and crank charge features at to the excellence of this light. I have used it to recharge my i phone and my MP3 player multiple times while kayaking and camping. This is the best product I have ever purchased, bar none!!

I bought this for the solar option as I seem to always be out on the road when my phone decides to die so I thought this would be perfect!!! Way wrong. I have left it on my dashboard and on the window sill for three straight days and have ONE blue light of power captured. NOT WORTH IT! I guess you need to harness the sun's energy straight to your device but what makes this worse is I bought three of these. Do research before buying this I only asked questions with the salesperson but forgot for a moment they must work on commission and they pulled one over on me with the 'what it could do' well that would be great if it only did!

About Goal Zero Flashlight

FEATURED REVIEWS

Well Designed and Rugged

By TBNTX

Mine arrived on Friday, and like everything else that I've purchased from Goal Zero, the design and build-quality are top-notch. One of the nice "extras" are the fold-down hooks on the base, so that you can easily hang the Torch 250 to provide floodlight illumination under the hood of your car when you need to check the motor, or inside your tent if you're camping. The lights are bright and reach a very good distance, and you can recharge the unit using its built-in solar panel, an external ...

So Very Versatile

By RickGrimes

This product is equally useful at home and in the field. Camping: great as an area light in a tent or to light up your food prep area; excellent as a flashlight for getting around in the dark; red light is helpful when stargazing to not destroy your night vision; solar let's you leave it out during the day and have it ready to go when you need it at night with USB in just in case; I haven't used the crank much but it's nice to know it's there if you need it; USB out is obviously handy. At hom...
