Watch face not bright enough. I can't see the numbers very well without pressing the button.

The watch freezes and wont advance to the next hole. Even when I advance it manually it wont go after I advanced it.

My son is an avid golfer and he always talked about this watch so when I found it with such a great price I had to get it for him. He uses every day and says it made his golf game better. Hes teaching my 8 year grand daughter to gold and how to us watch now she wants one. Great price works great.

I bought my s40 2 years ago but it stopped working a week ago. A quick chat with the support team on line and I was sent a brand new replacement without any fuss. The watch is all You'd ever need on the course and the customer service from Garmin is second to none.

There are some features I like -- particularly how far you have hit each shot. But trying to use that feature while playing is somewhat difficult. In my case, when I go to hit the club I used it often uses the wrong club (clumsy finger?). And then you have to use the app to correct those clubs (assuming you can remember what club you used). Also, just today, the watch kept vibrating telling me my phone was disconnected?? I never connected it so I don't know what is happening. But it was very annoying trying to play with the vibration. In conclusion I feel the watch has not lived up to my expectations.

HI just bought the S40 and cant wait to try it out on a golf course,watch looks nice and hope it will meet my expectations ,my only problem is with the watch strap its very rubbery and hard to inset in the 2 little rubber bands,I wish there was an extra watch strap easier to use

Got this for Christmas, a little confusing to use at first but after using it on the golf course wouldn't play without it. Already knocked 5 strokes off my game and I'm a high handicapper.

Great golf watch. You can track scores, driving distances, walking distance, etc. Haven't figured out how bring up my score by hole once the round has ended and I saved the score. Very comfortable.

I purchased this gps watch over a year ago and have yet to a good performance. Had to replace it once, then send for a new charging cord. It charges now but very inaccurate distance, sometimes a chip shot reads 345 or wrong hole. Am aways trying to figure the GPS watch it interferes with my game. So disappointed.

First, let me say I am not computer literate so some of my issues are probably just me. I am having a great deal of trouble using the watch for golf. First, I need an overview picture of the full hole but I can't seem to find that. If I make a mistake and want to go back a hole or two I have trouble doing that. I really wish there was someone who could demonstrate all the features. I have trouble just reading about them.

Every time you get ready to use it, you have to make sure it is charged and that is not easy, it has a very small charging stem.

Clear optics, very accurate, but scrolling through the number of options can be confusing. As time goes on, and my knowledge of the location of the options gets better, I'm sure I will appreciate the S40 even more.

Just grabbed it about two weeks ago and so far kind of satisfied with it. Even though I still figuring it out, so far I have noticed some distance discrepancies, no something that will ruin my game but makes me wonder about club selection. For the money I think there's nothing comparable in the market, looking into a upgrade very soon (S62).

I just want to know the yards to the flag stick. Use it two times not happy try one more time and bye-bye. I had a Bushnell and it worked good no it worked great for years and years. Got the S 40 for a gift.
