Works in same way as the more costly Canon version. The buttons and form factors are exactly the same from what I can tell. Build quality is not obviously different, but this is more difficult to ascertain in the short-term of my ownership. Overall I am pleased with this choice, and for the savings I am confident that I would buy again at least one time for the life of the camera (5DS-R).

Amazing grip that every professional and amateur photographer needs! Extremely helpful When going for vertical shots. The extra battery slot lets you shoot for days. Doesn’t take up much room, very easy to use and highly recommended. This is my third one over the past 15 years and I will never buy a camera without a grip like this!

This item fits the camera and works but does not fit the manu. parts. The unit will work but is not interchangeable with the Canon unit Can keep as a backup though.

I had my last body grip (from Vivitar) for 6-7 years. They don’t offer that model anymore for my Mark iii. I have had good luck with Green Extreme’s batteries, and the reviews for their grips were good, the price was affordable, so I thought I’d thought I’d give it try. I’ve been using it about a month now (5-7 times) and so far, it’s quality, works well and looks just like my last one. I hope this one lasts me another 6 years! I love Adorama for its prices, new and used equipment options and their great customer service. Thank you for another great shopping experience. 5 stars!

Thrilled with the quality of this battery grip. I have a Canon battery grip on my other camera that I paid an arm and leg for. Wish I had found this one first in the future I will buy more products from Green Extreme. I also paired this purchase with two batteries and a charge from Green Extreme to my surprise it came with a car charger. I shoot RE photography so I am always on the go and it’s awesome that it was included because it was on my “to purchase list”

The Green Extreme BG-E11 is an excellent buy. While being fully functional with the Canon 5D Mk.lll, one saves big dollars compared to the Canon version. Great fit to the camera body...looks very professional when attached and the grip is soundly constructed. I love the extended shooting time by the assistance of a second battery within the grip. I highly recommend this product as a positive add on accessory for use in the field or studio.

It feels ok and works ok. I'm a Pro and was hoping that my assistant would fix or replace what he broke. I didn't want to wait for the new one, very expensive btw, so I picked this one up. It works so I can't complain but I really didn't like the way the vertical shutter button felt. The price was perfect that's why I gave it a 4 stars

This grip is at least as good as Canon's but at about one-fifth of the price. Everything on it works just as well. One thing though - when attached, you have to use a different button on the camera to navigate the camera's menu system. But even this button - once you've tracked it down - is preferable to Canon's 2-dial arrangement. I've taken over 1000 shots with it since I've had it, all without a single problem or any sign that it could develop a problem. Price them both, and then go with this one.

This grip makes a solid connection to my 5diii and becomes part of the camera. After a few thousand shots with it I really don't see a downside to going third party. Works as expected, fits snug, battery performance is good.
