Great backup battery for my Nikon D7100

I have been using this battery as an alternate with my Nikon original. I have not seen any difference in performance after about 3 months of use. I have another Green Extreme battery for a different camera that has worked this well for about 3 years.

Not so great. Short lifespan compared to Nikon batteries.

I have had mixed results with third party batteries and this one is no exception. The green extreme EN-EL15 works ok until it just suddenly doesn't. I have had a few of these over the years and the most recent one came included in a camera kit that I ordered. It lasted just about a year of light use before it just stopped holding or taking a charge. I realize it's about half the cost of an original Nikon battery, but you would be money ahead to just spend the extra up front for an original Nikon and be done with it. The only reason I give this battery two stars instead of one is because I did get at least a year out of it but that's about it.

Back up battery for my Z camera at a much better price than Nikon

So far this battery works as well as the original Nikon battery. I mostly use the Nikon battery and carry this as a back up. It has come in handy several times.

Pleasant Surprise

Given the price, I expected the most basic possible charger. How surprised I was when it turned out to be totally deluxe! I love that it displays the charge level of each battery individually on an LCD screen. And, the charger can handle batteries from my other cameras if I buy the right adapter plates. Guess what?s next on my list?

Great Deal

Two batteries and a dual-charger for the price of one Nikon battery, SOLD. The plates are a little wonky, but once they are secured correctly you can leave them on and go. The LCD screen is a nice touch to see how much charge your battery has, and I'm curious to see how accurate it is. I'll update as I use them in comparison to the OEM battery, but the reviews seem solid. Overall, I'm not sure how you could go wrong with this deal. Even if they have end up having only 2/3 of the Nikon per charge, you still make out ahead.

I photographed and video recorded a rock concert using this battery with 2 Nikon EN-EL15's as backups; they were never used. With my Nikon D600, I took over 500 pictures and video recorded 8 full songs in the span of 6 hours. The battery charge was at 100% when I started and when all was said and done, it was 53% charged. My Nikon charger and camera both recognized this battery. I will definitely buy more of these when needed!
