Home H : What was included in the box? Did they include the extra velour pads, stereo amp converter, and 4-pin XLR cable with adapter?Phillip Q : Mine had all of the listed accessories but some others on Reddit stated they didn't receive all of the accessories. The default cable is XLR and I believe they all come with an XLR to 1/4 adapter. A stereo converter may not be needed though. Anything with the power of a JDS Atom in high gain or greater can power these enough to damage your hearing.

Endgame headphones

If you have an amp that can output at least 4W into 50 ohms, you owe it to yourself to hear these headphones. Properly powered, these are absolutely stunning. The detail retrieval is on another level and the timbre is the most realistic and authentic I have ever heard. I have or have previously owned: Sennheiser HD6XX, Focal Clear, MrSpeakers Ether 2, Audeze LCD-X so I have a decent base to compare to and I prefer the HE6se over all of them, no question. Bass is powerful, punchy, detailed, and reaches so deep. Treble is beautiful and detailed without ever being fatiguing (I use a Metrum Onyx as my primary DAC and an Adcom GDA-600 as a secondary, currently through the THX AAA 789 amp with a Headamp GS-X mini coming soon). The Onyx has a very laid back tone with treble (cymbals in particular) often being lower in the mix than a traditional OS DAC presents and the natural tendencies of the HE6se bring it more forward, making an already incredible DAC even better.

Power craving BEASTS.

Needs a good (Higher-end) powerful 150 WPC +++ to perform as intended. Once you find the right amplifier these are a real experince and unlike other headphones, a vey “fun” tuning, similar to having a "nightclub on your head”.

Great headphone for the (sale) price!

Excellent headphone for the sale price. Build quality is only so-so but certainly not bad. please keep in mind that these are absolutely some of the hardest to drive headphones out there and a speaker amp is really recommended to drive them best. Btw, these come with an extra pair of velour pads. The cable is a 4pin for balance cable and a 4pin for to 1/4" adapter.

Classic Reborn

Good detail and sound stage. A slightly bright sounding headphone but not overly so. Bass impact and texture is good and mid range is spot on. Don't pair with a bright amp. Also make sure your amp has plenty of power. Something along the lines of a Woo WA5 or Headamp GSX will do nicely.
