I can confidently rate my circular polarizing warming filter from Moose via Andorrans 5 stars because it does exactly what it is supposed to do. At the right angles, it cuts glare and haze, and really makes clouds more dramatic. The warming effect is slight, but noticeable, a welcome feature for reducing the bluish tone in so many situations. The monthly assignment of my photography club was “Colors.” I drove to a local veterans cemetery, thinking a shot of colorful flowers beside a grave might be interesting. Then I spotted a tall hillside across from the chapel, which was flanked by the “colors” of the American flag, with rows of headstones forming leading lines pointing to the flag. The 5 o’clock sun was still a bit harsh and hazy. Adding my new filter was sheer genius! It produced in-camera the image I had in my mind, a subtle but dramatic difference, for the win - the right tool for that situation!

The day we received it we were headed to Arizona. I was looking forward to experimenting with the polarized filter. I sell sunglasses for a living and almost always recommend polarized lenses. It was great seeing how this works a I’m very pleased with the results.

I bought this to use with my Canon DSLR. I haven't gotten outside to use it yet. (TOO cold and dreary here). Judging from playing with it inside the warming filter may be too dark and can be best used on a bright sunny day. I wonder if the warming filter is necessary for a digital camera as the computer in the camera will try to compensate and nullify any effect this filter makes in the final picture. I think the warming effect filter is a throwback to using real film. Otherwise the general quality of the filter is good and solid. Even though I used it inside, it did remove reflections from shiny surfaces like its supposed to. I can't wait to use it outside and see what it really can do.

The moose PL filter adds just a touch of warmth to any outdoor photo you are taking. Helps to eliminate the excess blue you get when using most PL filers. Works well on landscapes and cityscapes.

I only shoot JPEGs and Moose's filter does wonders! It can give me polarizing and warming at the same time or I can tune polarizing out and add just a little bit of warmth. An extra bonus is having up to two stops of warm neutral density from the polarizer! The quality of this filter is excellent! I liked Moose's warming polarizers so much that I bought one in every filter size from 52mm to 77mm! I like the results they provide!

I have read so much about this filter, and with a trip coming up next month to Alaska, it became the right time to purchase it. Let's warm the area up!

On the first use, the filter secured itself firmly to the B+W UV filter and couldn't be separated. I'm a strong person, and I could get the two filters to budge from each other.

The Hoya Moose 67mm Warm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter is effectively two filters in one piece of glass. The Warming effect is the same as an 81A filter. A Polarizing filter may produce an image that is a little cooler than desired. This filter attempts to create a more natural image. The results are usually very pleasing.

I shoot film sometimes, and there's no white balance adjustment like digital. Stacking both a polarizer and warm filters produced vignetting with my Pentax 645 45mm wide angle lens. Now I can put this filter on and get the effects of both a polarizer and warming. It's not as warm as an 81c or Tiffen 812, but there's a noticeable difference. It's not multicoated, but I don't spend the extra $$$ for MC filters anyway. Image quality has been great for me so far with this filter. I also use this on my smaller lenses with a step up ring adapter. I always use generic 67mm screw in lens hoods with it. When the hood is mounted to the front of the filter, it's so easy to rotate the polarizer. Just grab the hood and turn. But it's best to turn it clockwise to eliminate the chance of unscrewing the hood or filter.

I bought this circular polarizer for my Zeiss 21mm f2.8 for Canon. I had owned CP but not in the same price range. For a really good piece of optic, you need a good quality filter to not degrade the picture quality--supposedly. I am not sure my 30 dollar filters on other lenses have led to worse quality, but I am satisfied with this circular polarizer for landscape photos as it warms up the image and provides what CP is intended for.

This worked pretty well for th3 first use. It has good construction and works as advertized. How ever shotting at Mesa Arch last week I had reflection and stay light on some of my photos. efectively runing some of my best photos. I will have to play around with this some more as I was shotting almost directly at the sun rise that morning. But so far I'm satified with it. A reagular polerizer would have been better but New Toy got to try it out.

I've always had a linear polarizer on my Olympus OM-1 lenses for outdoor work, and was pleased to find this for my new Nikon 18-105. Although the effect is not as pronounced, circular polarizers will make clouds pop against the sky, and this one maintains a better color balance for the foliage and red rocks common in the West.

This filter combines the advantage of using an 1A skylight filter for warming effect, coupled with the advantage of a polarizing filter. Needless to say, using both filters at the same time reduced the necessity of constantly adding or subtracting the polarizer during changing lighting conditions. An excellent idea.

Just imagine capturing the perfect shot with the 58mm Warm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter, a unique product born from the exclusive collaboration between Hoya and esteemed wildlife photographer and conservationist B. Moose Peterson of Wildlife Research Photography. This innovative filter combines the functions of a polarizer and an 81A warming filter, offering a versatile solution for both professional and amateur photographers.
For decades, polarizers have been the go-to tool for photographers looking to eliminate reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass. They're also favored for their ability to darken blue skies, thereby enhancing contrast in scenic photography. However, traditional linear polarizers can cause exposure errors with today's auto-focus camera bodies, which often use a split-beam metering system. This system employs a polarized half mirror, and the light absorption properties of linear polarizers can interfere with it.
Our 58mm Warm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter solves this issue by providing the same optical effect as a linear polarizer, but without causing exposure problems with modern metering systems. One common side effect of both linear and circular polarizers is that they can "cool down" the overall color balance of a scene, often resulting in a slightly bluish tone.
This is where the 81A warming filter comes into play. It corrects the color temperature, restoring the scene to the original 5500K color balance ideal for daylight film. This results in a more pleasing, warm color balance across the entire scene. Meanwhile, the circular polarizer works to increase color contrast and reduce the effects of atmospheric haze.
Whether you're shooting landscapes, wildlife, or urban scenes, the 58mm Warm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter is an essential tool for enhancing your photography and achieving stunning results.
