Quality Hoya UV FIlter
I haven't tested it yet, but the build quality is superior to other UV filters I have. The filter screws on more securely than another filter I have for this lens. The Hoya filter received good reviews from internet photography sites.

Does the job well
This came with a Tamaron lens 150-600mm that I bought. It fit perfectly, the glass is clear and uniform and it protects the lens just fine. If you believe in the value of a UV filter this will do the job very well for you, at least it did on my lens.

If you need a 95mm filter...
I use this as a lens protection and UV filter on my Tamron 150-600. It performs the first quite well, and I don't have enough data yet about the second... I wish Tiffen made a Haze-2 filter in 95mm, though.

Nice filter
I've always liked Hoya filters, the quality is good. The price, although not cheep is reasonable when compared to other quality filters I priced. I am happy with the filter.

Best lens protection
I had my previous U V filter crack while lifting my camera out of the backpack compartment. It cost twice as much as the new Hoya filter. I have not taken many shots in different conditions with the new Hoya filter, but it is made well and the glass of my 95 mm opening lens $$$ is once again protected. This Hoya also came in a hard case were the previous more expensive one did not.

Hoya vs Others
I have Hoya filters on all my lens. I have tried others but the Hoya is very consistent in quality and fit. The free filter Adorama includes in some of there bundles is ill fitted and very difficult to remove if you can get it to screw on straight in the first place. The Hoya has a nice height to it and threads on easily. Price is right. I'm sure there are others in this price range and even higher in the $$$$ amount but you will be pleased with the Hoya line. I purchase the upper end of there line and barring any accident, these should live the life of the lens.

This hoya filter like all previous hoya filters I have purchased, used, and still use always provide me with the protection and picture quality I have found satisfactory for the majority of my shots. Price and quality keep bringing me back to hoya.

Works great for protecting your lens
Relatively thin profile works well, although you can still get some vignetting in some situations. This works with the "Bigma" (Sigma 50-500mm) which I was concerned about because the Bigma specifies a "coarse" thread.

Protection Plus
The first filter on my lenses is a UV, providing filtration of UV rays while also providing protection for an expensive lens. Spend the money even if you have, as I do, a difficult lens diameter to deal with [...]. UV filters represent common sense & money wisely invested.
