While maintaining a lightweight and versatile design, the NiSi C5 Matte Box Filmmaker Kit is a professional-grade tool that caters to the needs of contemporary cinematographers. This innovative matte box system is compatible with a wide range of lenses and offers a secure mounting solution for NiSi's Cinema line of filters, as well as other 4mm thick filters. The C5 Matte Box is expertly crafted from durable materials such as Aluminum, Composite Plastic, and Carbon Fiber, ensuring longevity while keeping the weight minimal. Its clamp-on style is designed to suit lenses with filter threads and cinema lenses with a 95mm outer diameter. The C5 Matte Box features a deep filter depth that effectively blocks glare and positions the filter as close to the lens as possible, preventing vignetting on lenses down to a 15mm full frame equivalent. The Carbon Fiber top flag further reduces glare from overhead light sources. Designed with practicality in mind, the holder incorporates side slots to reduce wind resistance, making it ideal for aerial platforms and gimbal use mounted on vehicles. The entire kit, weighing a mere 350g, comes packaged in a convenient pouch that holds all the accessories, ensuring it's ready to use on set with various lenses. The holder features a top entry 4x4 slot for square filters in a tray or NiSi's Rotating filters designed specifically for the C5. It can accommodate 2mm or 4mm thick filters. Additionally, there is a side entry 4x5.65 filter slot to suit all 4x5.65 filters, ranging from ND's to Grads, Mist, Polarizers, and more. The kit includes the True Color VND1-5 Stops For C5, a rotating VND designed to fit the C5 holder. This filter allows for wider apertures while maintaining the correct shutter speed and ISO, with the degree of density easily controlled by rotating the gear on top of the filter or by mounting a motor using the 15mm rod holder for wireless control. The Variable ND filter offers True Color that avoids the color shift seen in other Variable filters. It is made from high-definition optical glass for superior resolution and quality, and is coated with the NiSi Nano coating for a waterproof, oil-proof, and anti-reflective surface to avoid ghosting and reflections. The NiSi Cinema 4x5.65" Allure Mist Black Filter (1/8 Stop) is also included in the kit, designed to reduce highlights, lower contrast, and soften wrinkles and blemishes, creating that special "atmosphere" by softening excess sharpness and contrast.
