It's time to elevate your virtual production experience with the E-Image GH25XR-PRO Virtual Production 100mm Pro Fluid Video Head. This high-performance head and lens tracking system is a vital component of Extended Reality (XR) systems, designed to gather precise data on the pan and tilt angles of the head, as well as the zoom and focus of the lens.
The GH25XR-PRO system is composed of an encoded head, an XR data processing device, zoom/focus lens encoders, and a DC power cable. It's specifically engineered to transmit real-time virtual data to the XR data processing device, which can then output tracking data via the FREE-D Protocol using either an RS422 or RJ45 interface.
The GH25XR Fluid Head is a standout feature, boasting integrated encoders that accurately track and relay the pan and tilt positions in real-time. The data from these encoders is output through a secure 8-pin locking cable. This tripod head is capable of supporting cameras weighing up to 61.7 pounds and offers adjustable counterbalance, pan, and tilt drag settings for optimal control.
The XR Data Processing Device is a powerful tool, capturing data from the lens focus/zoom encoders and tripod pan/tilt encoders. It then outputs the encoded data to the Free-D protocol via RJ45 UDP or RS-422 serial data. Free-D is a widely adopted protocol in virtual production, used to convey real-world camera movement and positioning data to digital environments.
The system is compatible with a wide range of Virtual Production software, including Brainstorm, Vizrt, Avid (Orad), Unreal Engine, Ross Video, Qimera, and more. Indicator lights display status for data reception, genlock connection, and Free-D protocol output, ensuring you're always informed about the system's status.
The included lens encoders connect to the focus and zoom rings of a broadcast lens, capturing the data and encoding it to the Free-D protocol. These encoders are compatible with the vast majority of broadcast lenses and include 0.6, 0.5, and 0.8 pitch gears that mount directly to the lens or to a 15mm rod. With a high resolution of 65,536 count/revolution, the magnetic sensors are capable of detecting even the most subtle lens adjustments, ensuring your virtual production is as accurate and immersive as possible.
