Bought this to replace my 40D over a year ago. I take weddings and landscapes. The pictures are sharp and clear. Don’t have any of the problems noted in other reviews. Careful review of the manual before using eliminates all those problems. I have owned several canons over the years and this one is the best so far.

I purchased this camera for my husband as a gift, he traded up from an older DSLR and loves it. The quality is amazing and the speed and ease of use are wonderful.

Great camera to learn photography with. Sharp pictures and the Canon software gives great results. I love the new hobby and use the camera everyday. I looked for a couple of months before deciding on the T6S.

I bought this camera a month ago and I'm so happy I did. I never miss a shot taking a picture of my six-month old daughter and 11 year old son. The quality of the pictures are awesome and the camera is very user friendly. I appreciate the touch screen and wi-fi/NFC capabilities it was one of the reasons for purchasing the camera. Took the camera on a trip to Chicago and got some really amazing shots. Cant go back to taking pictures on my cell phone. Absolutely, love my new camera.

My T6s replaced my old Canon 40D, which was really too heavy for me. I have read some complaints of "soft" images here, but that is not a fault of the camera. This camera can produce razor sharp images ... if it is used properly. That is a learning experience and, with high resolution sensors, can be more of a challenge than some expect. Parameters such as sharpness, contrast, and color saturation can be programmed in the camera to suit your tastes. Various shooting modes can further accommodate your needs, but the best results can often be achieved by learning how to use the AV, TV, or P modes ... where you have more control over what the camera will do when you press the shutter. Using good quality lenses is critical, and poor glass can ruin the best of camera bodies. The Canon kit lenses are actually quite good, and will give very nice results with the T6s. I use both the 18-135mm and the 55-250mm kit lenses, and have been able to get fantastic results with them. The T6s does everything I want it to do, and it does this in a relatively small and lightweight package. It's wifi image transfer is simple to set up and use, but I still prefer a simple SD card reader for most transfers, since a card reader is quite a bit faster. The controls are well laid out, the top LCD provides basic information, and the Q function on the back LCD brings up most camera settings quickly and conveniently. The viewfinder is fine, and it is what I use most of the time. Live View is there when you want it, but it does drain the small battery rather quickly and can be difficult to use in bright sunlight. That rear LCD is fully articulated and can be very helpful for odd angles. It also provides extremely fast and accurate focusing, and can be programmed to trigger the shutter when touched. I really like this camera a lot. It does not have a back focus button, not does it offer a micro focus function for fine tuning the AF on individual lenses. For me, those are not major omissions. It is easy to recommend, since it does everything so well. One caveat though ... if you're coming from a point and shoot camera or a smartphone, do not expect to take incredible pictures the first time out. You really have to learn some of the technical aspects of photography to fully take advantage of this camera's full potential. There is a learning curve but, when mastered, the results can be very rewarding.

You can't go wrong with this camera. If you don't have too much time to research and looking for a DSLR, even if you are a beginner, this DSLR will serve you well.

Purchased within a month ago and the camera is good. Image quality isn't as sharp as I would expect and the LCD Screen is almost unveiwable during a sunny day. That's just totally outdated technology as our phone's display is very easy to see during the day. I do hope that Canon addresses the LCD SCEEN as I find this unacceptable in today's technological world and not with a new camera, but software upgrades / updates for the cameras on the market already. What say you Canon?

I got this Canon Rebel T6S bundle 2 days ago. It does have a lot of nice features and if it were to be used inside only with the LCD screen as a view finder it would be pretty good. Outside is another matter a small dim viewfinder has the feel of an old front door peep hole. This pretty much makes it useless to me.

Very simple to use. Still has the great Canon UI. Touchscreen makes interface even easier. The additional auto-focus points allows for more flexibility when shooting. Images have been mostly my kids running around and the camera responds well with the auto-servo focus feature.

Wow I struggled to decide which Rebel camera would meet my needs. After hours of research I decided on the T6s and I'm extremely satisfied. The extra features are well worth the price difference. Go for it , get the best !

I was a little bit apprehensive about buying a refurbished camera - but this came in seemingly PERFECT condition. I have had absolutely no issues, and for the money you save, this will be the best deal every time! Really love this camera - and I highly recommend it!

I recently purchased a Canon EOS Rebel T6s Camera and used it for the first time for a wedding. I thought I would only use it when I had down time like during the ceremony, but I started using it right from the get go with the bride and bridesmaids and didn't put it down till I took my last shot! It is extremely lightweight and was easy to navigate while needing to make quick setting changes. The only negative that I can speak of is how quickly it takes pics! I am used to using a certain amnt of pressure when pressing the shutter release button, and before I realize, I have taken 4 quick pictures!! But that will adjust in time! I feel this is a very versatile camera for all my needs: weddings, senior pictures, sports or just everyday living!!

I do a lot of researching prior to making a purchase. I have been buying Rebels since the Xsi and sometimes I skip a generation if the improvements did not justify the investment. That said, the Canon EOS Rebel T6s is a fantastic camera. I photograph everything. I photograph babies in my studio, hummingbirds, architecture, people.... Everything interests me. With the right lens you can use this for everything. I also enter photographic competitions, and often do quite well. A recent image of the Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie, Texas won best Illustrative Architecture in the Texas Professional Photographer Association competition held recently. I photographed it hand-held using a Tokina 50-135 f2. 8. It was a 3 image panorama stitched together in Lightroom. The detail was fantastic, and lbs of the things the judges commented on. Snobby photographers look down on crop sensor cameras, but when using a Rebel "what you see is what you get" and I quite like the magnification factor of using a crop sensor lens (items photographed appear 1.5 times closer). The articulated screen is awesome and that it is a touch screen is fantastic. I am always touching other people's screens to try to look closer at images. I can't speak to the creative settings as I shoot on manual or shutter priority. I recommend that you get a couple three of Flashpoint's zoom li-on E-TTL flashes and remotes to go with it. The Zoom li-on flashes are great and you can get 3 for the price of 1 new Canon flash. They will pay for themselves in the AA batteries you don't buy. This is a great "bang for your buck" camera and I highly recommend it.

Bought in June '16 to replace an older Canon EOS. Upon receipt, there were multiple issues that should've been caught by Canon before selling the product. It froze in multiple shooting modes and I even tried multiple lenses. The WiFi didn't work. The battery lost charge within a couple hours. The camera turned on but didn't shoot. I was very disappointed in the product and returned it for a refund. Just to clarify, this product is a refurbished camera. It is not new nor open box. I do not recommend this product.

I was a little hesitant to buy such a high end camera as a beginner, but I'm extremely glad I did! This camera does amazing things and is very user friendly. My experience with Adorama was fantastic and I received my camera 3 days after ordering it. As a highly impatient person this was a huge perk!

After much research and narrowing down to 2 cameras, the Canon and the Nikon d5500. Finally settled on the Canon t6s based on my use. Have taken many pictures with it in preparation for our Alaska trip. Ease of operation, quality of pictures and video are excellent even in full auto modes. More than happy with my choice and appreciate the help Larry gave me making my phone order. You can bet I'll be using ADORAMA again on future purchases. May even decide to make dslr photography a hobby. Alot cheaper than the 35 mm days.

The camera was a gift to my gran son Nicolas, for his College graduation . He is a beginner, and wrote me a couple of times, saying that he is very happy with the camera and the accessories that were included in the bundle. Beside that, Adorama service was second to none. I will recomend both: camera & Adorama service. Thank you Carlos Valero-Miami

I've had the 60D and the T4i. The 60D was too heavy. Ended up leaving it home often. T4i was not easy to play around with. The T6s with the top lcd screen and wheel in the back is so easy to use and adjust. The touchscreen is very responsive. Weight and comfort in the hand is superior. Live view mode better than in T4i. So much better :-)

I've had mine a bit over a year. I've used it with Canon and 3rd party lenses and flashes as well as wireless triggers and transmitters. I've used in indoors, outdoors, studios and for commercial work (yes, it's not about the camera, it's about the photographer. It has never disappointed me. Since I don't use the built in flash, I tend to save a lot on battery life which makes it long lasting and an astonishing advance from the traditional Rebel line.

I have had this camera (T6s) since its launch last year. I read all the reviews and test reports and decided this would be the one. I moved from the T3i , I was unhappy with slow focus in AF because my needs have changed. I love the speed of the T6s and the added features and controls are great. The system came with the 18-135 and 55-250, I added the 10-18 to complete the system. Although ALL the STM lens are great, the 18-135 is the one I use the most. I have been a Canon user for over 30 yrs and have relied on Canon to deliver the best quality.

I own, and love, my 5D Mark III. But I undertook a new activity, which involved taking photos through a spotting scope. That meant I could NOT use a full-frame sensor (full-frame would result in vignetting). I thought that the T6s (with its 1.6 FOV crop) would be a perfect solution, but I was greatly disappointed. Despite the 24+ megapixels the sensor claims, the images were definitely not sharp enough -- whether digiscoped OR simply taken by regular shooting. I was forced to spend lots of time in photoshop, sharpening the images using software. This was not a happy situation. My solution was to replace the T6s with the 7D Mark II camera, which also has 1.6 FOV crop. Wow, what a difference. The images are astoundingly sharp, and comparable to my 5D Mark III. I am very pleased with the 7D Mark II. I would categorize the T6s as an easy-to-carry camera for the casual user. If you are fussy about sharpness, look elsewhere.

T6s – Body only. Replacing T3i. Current lenses: EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM, EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II, EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II, and EF 85mm f/1.8 USM. I shoot mostly grandkids sports, Football, Baseball, Basketball, Ice Hockey. Last year, I shot over 29,000 frames with my T3i. In the first 3 weeks with my T6s, I’ve shot a bit over 8,500. If you press the shutter button as the pitch leaves the pitcher’s hand, it will take 25-30 frames by the time the little leaguer crosses first base...

A Paradygm Shift in EOS Rebel Cameras
By Deraldg
I recently bought a T5 and almost immediately realized I wanted a camera with more features. I read that the T6i and T6s would soon be coming out and after reviewing its features and features of other cameras felt that my best value per dollar would be the T6, I also decided that for the 100 dollar difference the T6s was warranted. I've been extremely happy with this camera, I love all of the features and specifications. I find only three cons with the camera, all livable. a. Even though th...

Plus, the EOS Rebel T6s is the first Rebel to include advanced options like a top LCD display panel and a Quick Control dial (with locking mechanism), even a built-in level display, all in an elegant, compact and portable package.
For stills, the EOS Rebel T6s can shoot incredibly quickly in Live View mode with Servo Burst Shooting, plus it has a number of advanced HD movie shooting features that include HDR video recording and Movie Digital Zoom. And, a Rebel first, the EOS Rebel T6s comes equipped with built-in Wi-Fi and NFC, making it possible to transfer and share photos easily and conveniently to compatible devices without having to rely on using cables. Near Field Communication (NFC) allows the camera to pair with compatible Android devices and even Canon's new Connect Station CS100. With the simple versatility of the Rebel line, plus features rarely found in this camera class, the sky's the limit with the EOS Rebel T6s.
24.2 Megapixel (APS-C) CMOS sensor
The EOS Rebel T6s camera has a next-generation 24.2 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor that can capture images of incredible depth and beauty. With high resolution and an ISO sensitivity of ISO 100-12800 (expandable to H: 25600) the EOS Rebel T6s can capture images of immense quality in more lighting situations. Advanced technologies combined with sophisticated automatic exposure features make the EOS Rebel T6s easy to use. Simply turn the camera on and feel confident that the results will be stunning whether they're being shared on the web or blown up into poster-sized prints.
Canon DIGIC 6 Image Processor
The EOS Rebel T6s camera is equipped with the very latest Canon proprietary processor, the DIGIC 6 Image Processor, which makes several important advancements to image quality both in photos and video. Improved light sensitivity allows for higher resolution with less noise when shooting in dark conditions at ISO 12800. The DIGIC 6 Image Processor also enhances the camera's performance capabilities, powering full resolution high-speed continuous still shooting and providing distortion correction in camera. Video recording in MP4 format provides better compatibility with mobile devices and tablets. EOS Full HD Video
Using technologies designed for professionals and refined for simplicity, the EOS Rebel T6s camera makes gorgeous, polished Full HD videos at the press of a button. Technologies like advanced Hybrid CMOS AF III mean the camera focuses fast and stays focused, even if the subject is moving. Advanced EOS optics help deliver shallow depth-of-field to provide the beautiful cinematic ambiance seen in professional films. Canon STM lenses provide smooth AF when shooting moving subjects and the high ISO sensitivity allows the camera to record videos in low light with reduced image noise for almost clear, sharp footage. An automatic wind noise elimination feature makes sure voices and music do not get drowned out by the sound of the wind blowing. Videos are recorded in MP4 format, which helps provide high quality videos that take up relatively little storage space, but are also easy to share and upload. Canon offers a wide selection of compatible EF and EF-S lenses to choose from, so users have the freedom to create truly unique videos to express their artistic vision. With Canon EOS, it's easier than ever to expand your imaging possibilities.
Movie Digital Zoom
Movie Digital Zoom makes it possible to zoom from 3x to 10x during video shooting, adding a whole new level of drama to video clips. Photographers who enjoy capturing wildlife will find the digital zoom useful because it helps extend the range of their lenses to capture subjects that are considerably further away. Plus, with the digital zoom, the photographer can record videos from a great distance without having to move from their position.
Remote Shooting & Wireless Printing
Wireless capabilities also allow users to use their compatible Smartphone's or tablets to remotely control the camera, which is useful for self-portraits and group shots or shooting from a distance as long as the camera is in wireless range. A variety of the camera's expressive capabilities are available to you: use different shooting modes; choose AF frame modes (single-point/face detection); shoot in continuous shooting mode; and utilize the AF button. Just connect to a device using the Camera Connect App to start capturing photos. Printing to compatible printers supporting PictBridge (Wireless LAN) is quick and easy.
Hybrid CMOS AF III
The EOS Rebel T6s camera features a robust, sophisticated AF system for Live View and video shooting. This Hybrid CMOS AF III focuses incredibly quickly and accurately and maintains focus even while the subject is in motion. This is incredibly useful when photographing or making videos of fast-moving children or pets when unpredictable movement is involved. Designed for providing outstanding autofocus capability, the EOS Rebel T6s delivers photos and videos with sharp, consistent focus regardless of the shooting situation. When using the EOS Rebel T6s with a Canon STM lens, operation is even smoother and quieter.
