I like it, but it could be better

I use the FlashTrax to store photos while I am traveling. However, it doesn't allow me to copy photos from one memory card to separate folders and I can't re-name folders without connecting the Flashtrax to a computer. The whole point of buying the Flashtrax was to leave my laptop behind on short trips. The inconvenience is enough to make me load up the laptop. A valuable organizational tool is lost -- storing photos taken in different locations under different folders with specific names -- don't throw away your paper notebook when you buy a Flashtrax! I listen to some MP3 files with head phones, and the sound quality is very good. However, the sound quality from the speaker is poor. FlashTrax says it is an FM Radio, but it doesn't pick up radio signals very well, and the quality of recorded files from radio is poor. Don't plan to use this device to save your favorite music from radio! I strongly recommend buying a spare battery since they lose their charge quickly. Unfortunately FlashTrax doesn't offer a separate battery charger, which would be nice. Be sure to buy the AC plug adapter so you can use it in the car and keep the battery charged. It's hard to know when the Flashtrax is off and when it is in sleep mode, so you know if the battery is being used up or not. Keep the instruction manual handy, since it contains good hints since not all of the controls are intuitive. For instance, if you want to copy an entire memory card, you have to push one button, if you want to copy a specific file, you can push another button -- no hints anywhere on the device to tell you this. I finally found a "large" small case to carry it around since the FlashTrax is much bigger than a typical MP3 player. I would probably recommend the FlashTrax to a friend, but I wish I had been able to try out other high volume storage devices before I bought this one.
