Compact and with excellent sharpness, this product is all I could hope for in a "normal" lens.

One of the best lense I own

If you are looking for a starter lens this might do. But I don't think it's fast enough to make a big difference to make up to the versatility of the f/4 zoom (32-64). The build quality is far worse and feels cheaper than the other lenses (which lines up with the pricing). 

If you do get it, be gentle when using it. I had mine for less than 6 months and already had to send it in to fix the AF mechanism.

Decent starter lens, but I'd skip it.

The lens is sharp w/ great clarity and resolution.  Has a little too much focus shift for my type of shooting.  Wish it had an internal focus design, can't tell you how many times the barrel movement pinched my finger.
