I liked the computer for the first 24 hours, then I moved it about 1" on the desk and the display blanked out. Fiddle with the DisplayPort plug and it worked again. Moved it again and it died again. Soon, it would not come back at all. Called HP for a replacement - no longer available. Found an alternate - during the ordering process with HP rep it too was no longer available. Eventually selected the mini version. Not as much I/O (which I now regret), but it would fit my needs. 2+ hours on the phone total. When it came time to send the defective one back, I contacted Customer Service for a return label. 1 chat, 3 phone calls, 6 people (from just the last call), 2 countries and an additional 3-1/2 hours I finally got a return label. Once I got to a person that was really willing to help, it took him over 1-1/2 hours to get me to the right person - and he had access to all previous call notes and the full HP company directory. He said "Now I understand first-hand why people get frustrated!" Once I was connected to the right person, I had the return label in my mailbox in 4 minutes. In related but separate orders, I also ordered a 24" display and a Pavillion laptop. They work OK, but ... Overall I will simply say that I have used and loved HP test equipment, printers, monitors and computers for the last 30 years. I will never buy HP again after this experience.

My system did not have the wi-fi driver preinstalled, so I had to review multiple videos to even go through the initial setup offline. I am currently trying to access the BIOS to find the right wifi driver, but even going through the settings to do the advanced restart it not going through the process. I gave a two star because the hardware I got with the Z2 setup was fantastic (and if the wife driver was present straight out of the box it would be 5/5) but not coming with a very basic feature like that wi-fi driver effectively means I have a brick sitting on my desk until I figure out how to fix it.

Very fast due to DDR5-4800 RAM. Compared to my old Z2 G4 its 1.75 inch wider, has a bigger back-lighted on-off button and has more USB plugs on the front side. The price is low for having many of the best features: 5.6 GHz i9, NVIDIA T1000 8GB, Windows 11 Pro, and 1TB SSD.

I was in need of a small computer box to hook up to my TVZ so i can stream my TV i had a small Zotac box which was very outdated . In speaking with representative at HP the small cubes they had i could not customize to exactly what i needed. So the representative found this model it is alot bigger then expected but does fit on shelf under TV it had alot more then i originally wanted and at a decent price . It works really well my only thing it does seem a bit sliw when booting up other then that no complaints or issues it works well for what i need it for

This is my 2nd Mini and I'm as satisfied as my first. It takes up the least amount of space and has adequate power for all of my needs. HP is my goto for quality, great service, great products and fair pricing.

I've only had the machine for ten days, but so far I'm very pleased with it. Very fast with the i9 processor, 64 mb RAM, SSD, and NVidia card. Build quality is very solid. Based on my experience so far, our business will purchase additional machines. My only complaint so far is the inclusion of HP's virus/malware software. I understand the reason, but most users will likely use a third party (Norton, McAffee, etc.). The HP software doesn't coexist well with Norton, so we had to disable the HP program. I would recommend that HP offer this as an option rather than as the default. Otherwise very happy with the machine and HP's service so far.

This is a great computer, but it's missing a few accessories and components. At a list price of more than 4 thousand dollars, what could be missing? For starters, there is no optical drive, but I knew that before pressing the add-to-cart button. Ah, but there is a drive bay for an optical drive, so I thought I would just buy it separately and install it myself. An online chat with Agent (Sarah P) that lasted 10 minutes led to her response to my question about what drive to add to the order as follows: Agent (Sarah P): "Yes since they only sell parts in our store we only sell full models and some cables but that's about it". I tried to find a part number for this drive on my own and was unsuccessful --- minus one star. At over 4 thousand dollars, you get just one drive, and it's only 512GB, but I knew that before ordering. "I could add a hard drive myself after I receive the computer because, like the optical drive bay, there's also a drive bay for a hard drive," I thought. Well, there is a bay, but the disc holder is missing. Good luck trying to find the part number to order one from the parts online store (a separate division of HP). The aggravation of having to find the correct part number and having to pay for something which should be part of the computer prompted me to deduct another star. This computer has a slot for a media card to be inserted so when I tried to do that it wouldn't work. It seems that the media device is missing, and HP put a cover over the slot to make the front bezel look clean. This I should have known from the specs, so no star deducted. Again, good luck finding the part number. So why did I buy this computer? Easy, since the computer was preassembled and packaged ready to ship, HP offered a good sale price over the Memorial Day weekend, and I received the computer in a couple of days. Like I said at the top of this review, this is a great computer. It is very fast. A search for a file in a large directory was faster than any computer I ever owned. Transferring files from one server to another (files going through this computer) was also very fast, even over a 1 G ethernet connection. Basic computing chores are zippy. Also, the computer is very quiet... and did I say it is blazing fast? My advice to prospective buyers, you won't go wrong with a Z2 SFF G9 HP computer. Either buy a computer where you can customize it before shipping and pay the price or get one on sale and try to deal with the HP online parts store like I'm about to do.

It looks like all of the reviews are the result of a promotional consideration. I didn't get a promotional incentive to write this review. I have bought the EliteDesk HP computers for as long as they have been offered. I decided to try a Z2. Goodbye EliteDesk--you were good but Z2 is better. Of course it depends on how you customize it but comparing HP computers with like specs the ZE is vastly superior to the EliteDesk. I still have in operable condition every EliteDesk I have ever owned but I upgrade every four years because of changes in technology and operating systems. I buy only HP computers and the Z2 Small Form G9 is my present choice.

I always bought Elite desktops for my office. I decided to try this Z2 on sale on Cyber Monday. Good decision. Fantastic value. Z2 is my choice in the future. I replace my HPs every 4 years. All of the HPs I have acquired in the last 15 years are still around and operating being used by someone at home or office for some purpose. Amazing??. HP business computers last forever. My experience with the HP consumer models wasn't so great except for the Omen gaming desktop and laptop computers I bought for my teenager. With HP you can buy their their business and gaming computers confident that you will not likely be disappointed. Although a Spectra laptop and a little little 20 + year old sub notebook will still fire up.

Kept rebooting while I was trying to setup. Reinstalled OS and still did the same. There was no indication in Windows logs of what the problem was and the hardware passed the HP tests. Support wanted to send parts to try out. I decided that I wasted enough time as it was and shipped back for a refund. This desktop was purchased for a company, for which, I have setup many over the years. This is not the first of which, from HP, that disappointed me.

I havent owned a personal desktop In what feels like ages and have been using my husband's we bought 8 years ago , so when I got this I guess I didn't fully understand what I had. I was thinking it would be like the normal run of the mill towers we use in the office at work, but no. When it states it's customizable it truly means it. I don't think there's a single thing internally you can't change . Graphics and refresh rate is pretty on par for gaming and graphic design. I really like the compact design and ability to connect it to the TV if im feeling like it. It did come with a nice mouse and keyboard which was also nice. The computer performance itself is highly impressive. Everything boots up and transitions quickly without any lag . I wanted to wait to review until I had customized something but if im being honest I have yet to find a reason to do so. Video editing goes well, game play is great, memory is superb. I'm very impressed with the power and compact size of this product. I do plan on getting a wifi adapter so I can keep it somewhere other than my husband's office space, as it's so good I don't want to share. He can keep his old one for himself haha

I needed a new computer for my business and I came across this HP Z2 small form factor G9 workstation. The first thing that sold me about this computer is that it is compact and customizable. I really liked that I can make this computer wireless and connect it to my TV with a couple devices. This computer came with a mouse that glides very easy and works amazing. The mouse isn't super touchy and it is easy to use. This computer also came with a keyboard that is light weight and the button do not stick at all. This computer is very well made and easy to use. I was able to set this computer up with in 15 minutes. It was not over complicated and it is easy to navigate. This computer has everything I need for my business with extra bonuses. My son was able to use this computer to download games that run super fast and the quality looks amazing. My son was so excited to see the difference in the games on his laptop verses using this computer. He now wants his own desktop pc set up for gaming. I was able to use a display port to HDMI to connect my TV to this computer giving me the biggest screen ever. I also was able to use a WiFi adapter to make this computer wireless. The adapter and the computer together have been giving me the best wireless connection with no issues. This computer came with Microsoft 10 but I was able to update it to Microsoft 11 with easy. One of my favorite things about this computer is that the apps are on the screen and I can scroll right to them with out having to type the IP address into the bars or the search engine. The speed of this computer has been amazing not waiting and the computer runs amazing. I haven't heard the computer make a sound at all. This computer is silent, sleek and extremely well made. I love that you are able to customize this computer to fit you wants and needs. I have owned a few different computer brands and laptops and HP by far has been the best computer and brand I have owned by far. The price point on HP products is beyond worth it becaue they last a long time the quality is amazing and their customer service is on point. I had to call HP customer service twice to help me set up this computer and I asked a few questions. They were very nice extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. There wasn't one question that they could not answer. I didn't have to fight a automative system just to get to a live person. Everyone I spoke to was very nice I had no problems understanding what they were telling me or how they were trying to help me at all. Just for the customer service alone I would definitely be a lifelong HP customer.

I have to admit that this is the fastest one in processing speed of all. I am amazed at how quickly it boots up This one is much quicker. I have not tested it with heavy multi-processing; however, I did put it through the paces while transferring files while moving data from my old laptop. I had several apps open during that process with no noticeable lag. It's packed well, seems to have what you'd need to set it up. It's super compact, which is impressive. We don't have any plans at the moment to upgrade this or customize it already is everything you would need in it at this moment

This computer worked for me for about 1/2 a day. Then the next morning it would not even turn on. It would turn on for 2 seconds and then shut down. After two hours of trouble shooting and a call to HP support, I now need a service call to replace a defective power supply part. I totally regret my purchase of this computer and would not recommend it to anyone.
