I had all the same problems every reviewer had. True junk, beautiful, but junk. It even felt expensive. After 5 repair attempts, 5 hard drive wipes, with hp,they finally agreed to send a new one. That arrived today. It may be a new machine but it is definitely "lesser" that the 3500$ machine I originally purchased. I upgraded the memory and ram when I bought it and now I have the base model. Plus for some reason the screen isn't really as nice as the original one. It's only been a day and clearly there was a defect in the original design , so I suppose I'm just glad to get a replacement that won't freeze, overheat , beep like crazy or have to be wiped out every couple of months. That still doesn't take away the feeling I was cheated but at least I did get a new one so I'm not completely out.

This machine is under two years old. Has had issues the entire time I have owned it. A month in HP support asked me to "reinstall windows" (might as well burn it, it would never have worked right again). I declined. Still randomly freezes, has overheating issues and requires powering down and cooling off to restart. Badly designed product, I'll never buy another HP product in my life.

Computer freezes up and is extremely slow with an external drive. To address this, I was interested in upgrading the internal HD to a SSD. To HP's credit there is a YouTube video on how to disassemble and replace parts. Unfortunately, a non-reusable tape is used to secure the rear cover which gets destroyed while opening the computer. They even provide a part no for the tape but there is no way to purchase the tape. Several others have reported the same issue but a year later there is still no solution provided.

We waited over 2 months for the computer to be delivered and it is a beautiful computer, but broke after 1 day. The keyboard, mouse and phone charging all quit working. After many hours on the phone with technical support, we ended up returning the computer for a refund. Boxing up such a large computer is no small task either. We are very disappointed...it has the potential to be an awesome computer!

I love the computer. Great sound system and display. I did replace the keyboard as it is hard to see and the only weak spot but a wonderful computer

The unit is awkward for me - the monitor is too tall and it hurts my neck. I am looking for a tall desk chair one that will take me up about 10 inches so I can be eye level when I am working on the computer and I work on it all day long. The desk chair I have doesn't raise up that high. But, all in all, the hardware works great. I am used to my horizontal orientation on the HP 34" curve and I prefer that design.

bought this computer a year ago to replace a 6 year old all in one which had replaced a HP tower. It has been a disappointment since I set it up. Didn't realize it wasn't touch screen, I unfortunately assumed. Just upgraded to windows 11, what was a slow and pathetic machine has become even more so. After years of owning and using HP's and always bought premium wish I could throw this in the trash.

HP ENVY All-in-One - 32-a1055: I ordered this computer twice back in July. The first time it started freezing and over heating within a couple hours of installation. After a very long time with customer service and repeated calls, I asked to return it. I requested a new one (not a refurbished one or the same one repaired). I received the "new" one and within an hour of having installed it, prior to installing any programs it was doing the EXACT same thing. Paying over $2,000 for a top of the line computer - it should work. I am afraid to try it out a third time. It is a defective product and six months later the reviews still show people having the same issues. They have not been fixed which is sad because the features are exactly what I wanted in a computer.

I am generally very please with this computer. Graphics are great, the 32in screen is a big improvement over my 20 year old 17in monitor, and I have more room on my desk now. There are a few items that I prefer, however, that would definitely make it nicer for me. For starters, it has one jack port for a headphone with a microphone. That may be fine for most people, but I don't like wearing a headset all the time but still need the mic. With my old system with a jack for headphones and a jack for microphone, I could just plug in my mic jack and still use the computer speakers instead of the head phone. Your question in response to this is, why don't I use the computer's built in mic? There are 2 reasons. First, the microphone is in the pop-up camera; I leave the camera down when not in use as I don't want anyone to hack my system and invade my privacy (might be rare, but why chance it?). Second, even with the camera up, the microphone does not pick up my voice well from 3 feet away. It sounds distant and faint to people at the other end, and even doing the mic test in settings is still faint. I can't even get it to wake up using voice commands without yelling. Being a gamer, I also ran into a problem with the wireless keyboard and mouse. A gamer presses keys and buttons for long periods of time. As a result, batteries die in about 2-3 weeks of use (not good for being good for the environment). Therefore I had to buy wired devices. This in turn took away 2 USB ports. It would be nice if it had at least 2 more USB ports for this very reason so that other devices could still be added. I have added on optical drive for CDs and DVDs for external storage and backup (tons of personal photos and movies, and music) and an external hard drive. This makes further additions difficult if I want them. I would be doing more swapping of devices than I would want. As I said, these are my personal views as to what I like. If it wasn't for these items, I would give it 5 stars. If they offered half stars for a rating, I would actually give it 4.5 stars.

Computer immediately overheats and would pop into bios saying "error with thermal cooling". This was a cool idea but the technology for this all in one does not work...yet. Dont waist your thousands of dollars until they add a better cooling system.the other issue was HP custimer service. The worst in getting a return. Took a minth and a half to get my money back and they still take money from you to do a returm up to 15 percent. Just a hug hastle. Buyers beware.

I bought this two months ago looking for a faster experience. It has been everything but that. Programs crash (Office 365), restarting takes hours to complete. Setup was cumbersome.

Camera is the worst. Cooling fan is extremely loud, I can't stress this enough. I already placed a bad review and they moderated it. Not because of graphic language mind you, simply because of honesty about their inferior product.

The aesthetics are beautiful. The computer performance is great. The monitor size, graphics, sound, ease of use are to be expected for the price tag.... however there is a flaw. Out of nowhere the processor starts to race, the computer starts to overheat and the screen just freezes. A quick google search will show this is more common then just me. For the price, it's a shame I have to put up with this. I haver already had to do a system reboot within a few weeks of having this PC.

I had a very unfortunate experience with the HP Envy All-In-One 32-a-1055. I have actually owned two of them and had the same problem with both - they randomly froze up. I?m not a power user, and when the freeze-ups occurred I was never running anything more demanding than excel and chrome. This happened to the first machine and HP stood by their pledge and replaced it with a new computer. Unfortunately the second computer had exactly the same problem with random freeze-ups, and I eventually returned it for a refund. What a hassle! On the positive side, I loved the overall design. The screen is wonderful, with a crisp display. The built-in speakers were of surprisingly good quality. If it only hadn?t kept freezing up!!!

Bought this a few weeks ago. Beautiful screen, fast processor and, on paper, it lives up to its specs but... after using it for just a few hours the screen went black and the only way to fix it was to do a hard reset. Since then, the computer freezes and need to be reset several times per day. The fan also randomly turns on to full speed and the machine freezes and needs to be reset. It's sometime difficult to wake the machine from sleep mode and occasionally the speaker makes loud popping sounds when it's in sleep mode. When it's working the experience is great but I've never had it run for more than a few hours without running into a problem. Several calls to HP overseas tech support. No good suggestions how to fix these issues and lots of time spent on useless, time wasting attempts. I'd rate that experience to be a 1 out of 10. Retuning this has also been an ordeal as the weekend sales/customer service group is only available to sell computers and not process returns which conveniently needs to be done during weekday business hours. That said, good luck getting a live person to help with the return process. Stuck on hold for over 40 minutes with a continuing message helpfully encouraging me to use their virtual agent.

The all in one does not work!!! It freezes without warning so the keyboard, mouse, and screen are frozen. The only way to make them work is to turn the power off! No the computer is asking fir a ?Bitlocker? number??? I want a machine that works!!!

As an IT Director, I've long recommended HP as reliable equipment, but this unit has me reconsidering. I've had it for two months. I've rebuilt it twice. It constantly overheats when there is NO load. This will eventually burn out the components. After an hour of troubleshooting, BIOS resets, etc. the HP tech's next step was to rebuild. I told the tech I've already done that multiple times - but *must follow their checklist (clearly a checklist - and the 'overheat' checklist assumes you're working on a laptop, which I had to continually remind wasn't the case). So - I am required to lose another day of work to rebuild again, which won't work any better than it did the last two times, because the technician's checklist doesn't allow for the possibility that I might be telling the truth when I say I've already done that step. It's likely that the product overall is OK, and I just got one that should not have made it through QA. I was disappointed to have to give up touch screen functionality to get a decent video card and specs, but thought the performance would be worth the sacrifice. So far that really hasn't paid off in any way. I'll be purchasing a new computer (not this model) so I can get working again, THEN I'll continue troubleshooting this one. But since the constant overheating has already reduced the system life, it's basically a loss for me. If I can resolve the issue, I'll be giving it away to someone who can afford the unreliability and shortened system life, and doesn't rely on it for their job. $2,500 down the drain. Pandemic has negatively impacted production lines - so I'm attributing the hardware issues to that. I'd consider a different model - we've certainly had good experiences with other Envy units purchased at other times. "Lemons" happen -nothing is 100% perfect, and a certain percentage of electronics fail off the line even after passing QA. If that happens to you - HP will, apparently, make it as difficult as possible to get that acknowledged and addressed. :(

Beautiful, premium and fast
By VideoVillage
I was on the fence between the Envy 32 and an iMac. The Envy won me over because of the larger screen, audio capabilities, and the extras, such as the phone charger and being able to use it as a Bluetooth speaker. I've had it for a week and I can honestly say that this is one impressive machine. Aside from the gorgeous screen, audio quality and design, I'm most impressed with how quiet the machine is. When I'm exporting a 4K video edit, I can barely hear the fans. This is easily the nicest, m...

Great performance & price compared to competitors

Very fast machine even when running multiple large programs at the same time. Huge screen. Bonuses I love such as wireless phone charger on the base and integrated sound system. I wanted the performance of a tower or close too but the space savings of an all-in-one. With this model I got everything plus more space savings & less mess not having to have speakers on the desk. It was a little more than what I was looking to pay but compared to everything else with similar performance cost was mu...
