I have never had anything delivered to me so fast (for FREE) from an internet purchase in my life! This particular ink cartridge is very hard to find on the market. (A print cartridge for a small fax machine). I would never have found it in any store! This was the first print cartridge I had ever purchased on the internet as far as I can remember. HP gave me FREE overnight delivery! It took around 12 hours to get here. Thank you HP!

We are very disappointed in the life span of these cartriges. We don't receive a lot of faxes but it seems like we are constantly changing the ink cartridge.

We replaced our 1040 fax with the 2140 fax. I'm very disappointed in the life of the ink cartridges. I assumed the 2140 was an upgrade to the 1040 and the ink cartridges would have a comparable life - not even close. When I called customer service about it he said he could send me some premium cardridges that would last longer - so I ordered three. When I received them they seem the same as the originals and were older than the one I had just installed. I wish I'd purchased a better machine - I'd have probably saved money in the long run. I always buy HP ink and toner but I'm starting to see why there is such a market for the generic. Too expensive for the number of pages you get and time consuming to change ink all the time!!!

I'm NOT getting much usage (yield) out of the HP 701 inkjet for my HP 2140 fax machine for approximately $34.00 plus tax. I had a Brother 575 fax before this HP but replaced the Brother for the HP because I saw on the 701 package it yielded over 800 pages and my Brother yielded maybe 25 pages. I should have not replaced the Brother because I could fax more pages w/ it for $25.00 than I can w/ the 701 inkjet for $34.00. I have always been a loyal HP customer until now but that's only because of the 701 inkjet..

When purchasing a new HP fax machine, the sales staff should warn you that the ink cartridge is just test size and that you need to purchase a full one for when that company-installed cartridge runs out. My problem is now I have no idea how soon my new cartridge will last.

I read the review where the cartridge prints over 800 copies, and I was wondering why I had only printed a few pages when cartridge became empty. Now I know, its because the cartridge that comes with the Fax Series 640 that only prints a few pages. I will say that the copies that I printed were not the best.

Hey, if you have an HP injet fax that uses this cartridge, you have no alternative, so I'll just say that this works fine, but has limited capacity. Not easy to check the level, so have an extra 701 handy, because when you run out, there's really no warning. Installing is a little tricky...you need to be in the designated area on the left to have enough room, but not a big problem. Just follow your manual (you did keep the manual, didn't you?)

To save money, HP and other manufacturers of printers, fax machines etc. include a cartridge that is filled with enough ink for just a few pages with the printers, fax machines, etc. This cartridge has the normal capacity as specified.

You say this will print approx. 895 pages?? Well, I recently purchased a small fax machine loaded with the 701 ink cartridge in it and I did not even get 100 pages from this cartridge.
