This is an excellent laser printer with excellent print quality. The printer appears quite robust (i.e. OK for a small to medium size office) and the price, which included shipping was also excellent.The package arrived on time and the printer was easy to set-up.

This LaserJet Pro M402dn replaces an older HP LaserJet P3005dn. Fast, easy set up. Performance better than expected. For use in small office printing 50-75 pages per day. HP service also better than expected - order was processed, shipped, and received within 3 days.

Replaced an HP LaserJet bought in 2003. HP makes great printer products. Very durable and never break down!!

Not designed for non-professionals. It was much too complicated for everyday use, even with my business background. I had to return it to the seller. Too bad; I liked my old HP Laserjet 1022 and thought I was replacing it.

Been using HP LaserJet printers for years and years and never a problem. Usually only replace them for additional speed.

Needed a new printer to replace our wonderful older model 1320. This one is much faster, prints two-sided and was easy to install and use. We are very happy with it.

after taking 1/2 hour installing finally at 99% percent get a fatal error that says installation took too long. Followed instructions that said to cancel and restart pc. Tried reinstalling 1/2 hour into again at 99% same error. What ever happened to plug and play HP. This is a joke.

I added the optional paper tray and the printer gives automatic switching from one tray to another to print both legal and standard paper page documents without interruption. Fast, reliable, good quality printing.

I had owned an HP 3600 color laser printer for eight years and it malfunctioned after running defective label stock through it. The new HP 452dn has more memory, is much faster and does automatic duplexing. I specifically bought this wired ethernet version for security reasons. The instructions were sketchy, but the software install on my network of Macs, Windows 7 and Linux machines was pretty painless. I have not upgraded firmware, but really see no reason to because I find the current functionality adequate. The question is will this machine display the longevity of the 3600, which was built like a tank. The 452dn is lighter but technology for things that were luxury in 2008 are standard in 2016.

Really like these printers. I have bought three of them so far, two for our office and one for my wife's classroom at school. They are fast, have built-in duplexing, optional WiFi connectivity, a small footprint, and they are inexpensive. Basically everything you need in a good mid-range printer.

I purchased the printer on the recommendation of HP sales staff that it would fill my need for a laser printer with Postscript driver capability. However, there was no visible path to accessing a PS driver. In addition, the default PCL and machine print settings produced terrible gray, fuzzy type and images. Plain text documents were very substandard in print quality. Print, online, phone and machine help functions were very limited in their ability to help solve the problems. Through trial and error I adjusted the default print resolution, ink density, and found the Laserjet Family PS driver. Only the combination of these three adjustments made it possible for me to consider keeping the printer.
