I bought this printer due to the fact that it was wireless and produced double sided copies. I have also come to know HP as a quality product maker with superior customer service. I use to buy Dell products in the past but have come to appreciate HP more.

Bought this printer to replace my older HP printer HP 2055, Have a problem with paper jam issue since buy. This printer has go to service center 2 times, and i will go for the third with same problem. The problem is with tray output, the older hp laserjet can go through back door and now it gone, only upper output, n cause a paperjam a lot. And when go to sevice center they replace the fuser assy, i dont think this is the main cause for this paper jam, cause if i press the backdoor sensor, and it can go smootly from behind. And cant use a thin paper 60-65 gr may cause paper jam, Disappointed with this printer, the older version is much much better. Dont what will happened after the warranty end.

Love my new printer - HP LaserJet Pro M402dw. Our office had an earlier version of the HP LaserJet Pro 401 that died after using it nonstop for 5 years. The new one is so much faster.

Purchased this to replace an older model laser jet printer for our front office. The install was easy and it is working beautifully.

This is a great printer, I am using it in a medical office and all the exam rooms print to one central location perfectly with it!

I replaced my 15 year old hp 401. The new 402 improvement is amazing.

I am a longtime HP customer, but this printer it is awful, constantly paper jams, memory cannot handle advertised workload, I need help returning please, this was too expensive to be, in my opinion, absolute junk. Thank you, please help

A robust, fast printer--worth the extra money! If you need double-sided printing, e.g., to print books and pamphlets, this is the printer for you. I had trouble getting the printer to switch from single to double-sided. Because paper is cheap, why use double-sided just to save paper? For my single-sided needs, I also bought an M402n, which prints fast!

In the process of relocating from Taiwan back to the US, I bought the M402dw which I used while camping out at a friend's house. Then, after leasing an apartment and getting Internet service installed, I moved the printer to my new location and continued using it remotely. In the next few days I'll begin living at the new location. The has never failed.

We own one and it worked so well that we decided to buy another one for two other workstations to share through network printing. It's constantly going into an "error state" with no clear way to fix the error without shutting it off and switching it back on only for it to print find and then error again. We have envelopes in tray 1 and tray 2 has letter size paper in it. If we print a letter size sheet of labels the printer makes us remove the envelopes from tray 1 and press "ok" to print on the letter size sheet (that we had put into tray 2... where the letter size paper is already) and then put the envelopes back and confirm it still is envelopes in tray 1. The same printer we bought years ago doesn't have any of these issues. It works great, but this one is just a headache.

No Muss, No Fuss. True to HP tradition and quality, the purchase of this printer was a no-brainer (especially at this price point). Why anyone would consider anything other than the original "gold standard" in printing (HP) may be a debate for others, but not for me. HP is the only choice I consider when it comes to printers. Period, end of paragraph. The M402dw LaserJet Pro is no exception. Fantastic device.

I have used HP for over 14 years in my Notary business and need a printer that can handle my work load, (approximately 5 K sheets per month), without breaking my budget. I have had several printers over the years. Made the mistake of switching to another brand a couple years back and came right back to my dependable HP. And no electrical surges when printing as the other brand printer would do.

This is possibly the worst HP printer I have ever bought. Limited RAM and extraordinarily had to install. Spend lots of time with support. We use a lot of MAC computers and they just don't want to work with this printer.

When configured as Wireless connection, the connection appears to fail after a time and then will not reconnect. Sometimes can manually force the reconnection, most times have to reinstall drivers to reconnect. Works better when configured as USB connection but not what I wanted to do.

I have only had this printer for a couple of months, but it prints very fast, was easy to set up, and the documents are very sharp and professional looking. Time will tell if it an efficient printer as far as toner usage goes, but so far so good.

A good printer but not worth the price just for a wireless printer.

I have 3 printers in my personal office and this replaced a long-serving LaserJet 4000. I love this product. I bought it with a 3rd tray so I put 500 pages of letter-size in that and legal-size in tray 2. It's compact, fast first page and about 40 PPM thereafter, and easy to use. Wireless connectivity works well.

I can't successfully connect the printer to my wireless network, and the HP website has been down for two days as I've tried to download firmware and drivers. I've wasted hours on this and am really disappointed compared to HP wireless printers I've used in the past. There is not sufficient support/instructions available. I am VERY frustrated and unhappy.

I love this printer!! I have only purchased another major brand of printers for the last several years. When this printer arrived (quickly, I might add!), it was the easiest set up I've ever experienced with a new printer. I also purchased an extra paper drawer - plug & play! Even better - this printer just prints, and prints like it is supposed to! It seems to be very dependable, and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

After three weeks of troubleshooting I gave up and sent it back. I cost me $20 to send it back and it was your problem!! New unit is great but I am out $20 and will not buy HP again.

If you need to print small text 6-8 pts. this printer is not for you. I have to use the other office printer to print my business cards. That printer, an older HP color laserjet, prints better than this one.

I have had an HP B/W printer for a decade and I finally decided to upgrade. It took over an hour on the phone with Tech Support to get this thing to finally install correctly. It randomly prints triangles over my reports. And it still won't print from tray 3.

I have a Mac. This printer has a USB connection for a 16 GB external storage device. Wouldn't it be nice if I were able to use it to store normal print jobs. It is used in windows for storage. I had one error so far. Insufficient print memory. It has 128 mb max memory. But only 65 mb available for user to use. Seems like a quick software fix to me.
Satisfied, we bought three of these printers!
