Researched different cameras and features The Coolpix was the undisputed choice. I don't like buying an item that has features I won't use. The Coolpix is easy to use with one press of a button to switch modes. Perfect size also for vacation. Convenient transfer to computer for picture storage. Recommend for people that like to "keep it simple".

Takes brilliant photos . . . much better than my earlier camera. The operations are intuitive, simple. Compact size fits well in my old case.

When i first got this camera it worked great, but after about a month it just turned off. I replaced the batteries and even the memory card. It still does not work

PROS: - This camera takes great pics in daytime/well lit scenarios. - It even does well in a darkened room. - I have been surprised by the crispness of some of the shots - even when I thought the shot would not come out well. CONS: - Pics taken OUTSIDE in early morning, in shady areas or in the evening don't tend to come out very well. (The flash produces over contrasted, smeary pics & the resulting photo is just BAD. ) - Forget about night photos. They aren't happening with this camera - Over time, the text on the controls rubs off. After 15 months (3 months post warranty) - ALL GONE. - Terrible battery compartment closure I received this model on a warranty repair of a previous model. Straight out the box the battery compartment didn't close completely. (There was gap where the batteries were visible.) However, the latch did hold - keeping the batteries/memory card in place. As I had a lot of travel coming up, a 2nd camera I had already purchased, no time to deal with another return and was unsure if returning a warranty replaced camera was even an option, I decided to suck it up. Fast forward 15 months. Now, the battery compartment spontaneously pops open for little to no reason. (I have lost multiple pairs of high end rechargeable batteries because of this.) Also, the text on all of the controls has rubbed off with time. My previous Nikon died within the warranty period. That's 2 Nikon Coolpix cameras with issues in a row. Although the in-warranty customer service was excellent, the replacement camera left & continues to leave a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this brand unless you can find it on clearance/a really good Black Friday deal as they don't last well.

The UC-E16 cable for connection to computer or printer is not included with the camera. None of the retailers who carried the camera had the cable in stock. Very difficult to find. Bought one on line. Should be included with the camera or at least fact the it is not included should be indicated on the outside of the box.

Pls read the whole review! I loved this camera; but I found that as I get older, other folks must like it also, as I have lost 2; and my phone number and identifying features are on my disc and on my case. Is this a camera that dis-honest people find is easy to steal and re-sale? I don't care about losing the camera, so much; as I hate losing all those great photos. And I use it for work because of its date and stamp feature. I did not see this camera being sold at Tar -get anymore, yesterday, so sad. Please Nikon keep it on the shelf. Its a great little camera and I need another one. And the features are easy to understand and use; plus the date/time does not change when the AA batteries need replacing like my Sony does. Also great feature is the AA battery feature. Yes we can plug in to charge, but I am on the road a lot and in other countries... so not so easy to re-charge. Thank you Nikon for a great product! This camera is great for the Law Enforcement Police Office when capturing photos or videos of basic accident & crime scenes. One of the MAJOR PLUSES for our purchase of this model is the fact it will still use standard AA batteries. A rechargeable type battery is not practical and this type of digital camera is beginning to become harder to find.

This camera takes beautiful pictures. I just need to find out how to change the ISO settings. Other than that it's a great little camera, I would give it 10 stars if I could!

I liked the L32. Decent pictures, acceptable video, pocket-sized. Now seven months old, it just quit working. Won't turn on, even with new batteries. Sigh

I'm very happy with my Nikon L32 CAMERA, normally I shoot using a DSLR but I wanted a small camera that I could keep with me at all times such as responding to Emergency calls as I am the Deputy Fire Chief on my local Department. I am also the Assistant Chief Fire Investigator in my County so this will work as my back up camera when doing a job. I did a lot of looking prior to deciding on the L32 but it fit into my needs list plus I was already a fan of Nikon. The camera does a great job of capturing the photo that I want providing enough options to cover any setting. I would recommend that anyone wanting a small camera should check out the Nikon L32. Being able to get it as a Bundle deal was even better and of course I have always had amazing service dealing with Adorama.

I am an avid cyclist. I wanted a camera I could slip in and out of a jersey pocket and use with one hand. This fit my needs perfectly. Last weekend I rode a Wounded Warriors ride. I was able to get pictures on the ride palming the camera and aiming and shooting on the fly. I was surprised at the clarity and detail of the pictures even when riding at 12 - 20 mph. I won't try pictures at a higher speed. Then of course it was easy to download to a couple different websites. My photos rivaled the professional photos taken by camera people standing along the roadside. Those are so canned. Action shots are a blast. Outstanding value at ($)

In bright outside daylight the image capture clarity and focus is great!, but indoors or low light (((regardless of setting used))) and in both video or image capture, it will not focus well or sometimes not at all and images and videos are very grainy blurry, pretty much useless, and forget about taking macros, 3" away close-ups, such as of a coin without pro studio level lighting. The auto focus / stabilization doesn't seem to work or very poorly if it is. No PC cable comes with the kit?? The word cheap comes to mind. No firmware updates to fix these problems is available yet. Bad all around type camera, only good for outside day time use.

Overall a good camera with the up-scaled pixels and zoom. The features that I really miss are the 2 second delay ... so I have to use the rather long 10 second self-timer. And I wish the camera beeped down the delay seconds, especially the 10 s. It would be nice to get a firmware upgrade for these two deficiencies.

I had the Cool Pix L24 for about 3 years and loved it! I had no problems with it whatsoever. About 4 weeks ago I accidently dropped it and the battery latch snapped off. Since I couldn't close the compartment and duct tape didn't work I decided to get the Cool Pix L32. I love this camera as much if not better. A major improvement for me is having the video button on the console. With the L24 I had to press a couple of buttons and go up/down on the menu and then press start. This is a nice feature! There are some additional beneficial features that make this a must have quality camera as it is easy to use, works great, and is fun to use. Anything digital and electrical handle with care and keep out of extreme heat and cold. Also, the NX2 software still works! All I had to do was attach the compatible Nikon cable I had with the L24 and connect it to the L32 and to my computer. This than matched the L32 with my computer and NX2. After I did this all of my photos and videos were then transferable from the L32 and the card reader. Working with the NX2 software is easy but read the HELP files at the top of the screen. This helped me because at first I didn't understand why the images from my card reader weren't showing up on the main screen in NX2 on my computer. I am very happy with this camera and it is a great price with tremendous value! I give this quality and powerful camera my highest recommendation! The audio is awesome too! I purchased a carrying case (with belt strap# for ($) to alleviate me dropping this wonderful camera! WARRANTY - to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one #1) year from the date of purchase."
