I'm using the product for the projection mostly, but I have found myself taking pictures with it more than the other devices I have. The camera functions great as far as taking picture of my son playing soccer, I've captured some great action shots. The options however, are a bit difficult to figure out, and they seem to not want to stay in program once you do change an option. Over all it's a great device! I will buy from Adorma again, I received the camera the next day and was highly impressed with the service, and product!

This is a really fun camera. It is easy to use and the image quality is pure Nikon. Expensive for what it is but then again there is nothing else out there like this cool little camera. I'm not sure why Nikon redesigned the body shortly after the initial release though. The manual focus projector is super easy to use and has excellent quality. You can projrct on any surface from a dinner plate to a wall or ceiling. It always draws a crowd and everyone asks what kind of camera it is. On the down side the projector is useless in daylight (as you might expect) and it depletes the battery quickly.

This is my first point-n-shoot camera and I am very impressed with its capabilities. The focus features are very impressive and rival my more expensive cameras. The projection feature is outstanding and makes it easy for friends and family to share without having to download to a computer and view on screen. The 14.1mp makes it easy to print big pictures

With a manual of over 200 pages need to have hard copy . Have had some difficulty in obtaining - but hope to work it out. Looking forward to a long love affair with my S1100pj.

This camera feels like it is made out of cheap plastic, and it is a clunker. It feels like there is a lot of open space inside the camera, and that the plastic enclosure outside the interior of the camera, is cheap and delicate. It doesn't perform that well, I much prefer my old camera.

My husband and I both hate this camera and wish we had returned it in a timely fashion. Every shot is soft/blurry. Not intuitive to use. Loved my Canon PowerShot; when it was stolen thought I'd give Nikon a try. Will purchase another Canon PowerShot next time.

The camera take hit or miss photos inside, when you take the first two shots they are bleached out. The third shot might come out okay

The directions to be able to show powerpoint presentations are impossible because they are so complicated. I have gone to the TROUBLE to convert the files and the camera does not recognize them. Hope someone can help me.

I bought this camera with one expectation. I wanted it to take pictures and project some semblance of an image on the wall. Upon powering up the device - I pointed the camera in projector mode at the wall. Not a lot of useful stuff on the screen - though I could see text. I focused and then look again. Nothing good. At least it was projecting ... I tried the camera and the pictures came out very bright, colorful, and full of detail. I turned the projector function on - and BAM. There it was - much brighter than I would have expected from an LED backlight and crisp color. Funny - CONTENT made all the difference in the world. I realized what a dufus I was for attempting to view the projector functions without SOMETHING to look AT on the screen. Video in HD is amazing. Video in VGA is perfect size for the projector. Records audio - and plays it back from a builtin speaker. I reccommend this camera highly - for anyone in the market for a pocket shooter. This is my first day with the camera. I'm off to the Technical Experts Conference in Vegas in a couple days. Then I'll get a chance to put it through its paces. Oh ... and its uber geeky kewl.

I got the PJ S1100 camera after doing a lot of research on the various digitals that are out. I took the plunge because of the projector, and it's truly a head turner. I love the option of seeing the pics on a wall or showing my pictures to my friends. The playback mode is archaic, however. If you delete a picture in the middle of a playback, it defaults back to the beginning of your shots. That's a lot of time and wasted energy to have to go back to the beginning of your memory card. Nikon says it's the camera and not the software. The projection is cool, but make the movies are taken in good light. Otherwise, you won't be able to view them. I'd give this camera a 3 out of 5 stars.

I got this camera as a Christmas present and it is a amazing camera. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone. This is my first Nikon camera and is by far better than any other brand. This camera has so many cool features and very easy to operate.

love the features. i'm not that much of a critique about cameras but by reading the specs its totally awesome and as long as the camera takes a "picture perfect" shot i'd buy it.. i have nikon s210 which, sometimes i'm having some difficulties adjusting the ISO and focusing while taking pictures. well i guess i just found the answer to my problem which is the nikon coolpix S1100pj. the good thing about this camera is the built in projector 'coz you can share and view photos which one at a time and not by borrowing your camera one by one and view the pictures. with the built in projector everyone will be able to see same pictures you want to see and it minimizes the exhaustion of the battery so you can take more pictures. I will definitely tell my mom to buy me one

I got this camera in Las Vegas 2 wks ago. It has a lot of features not found in other cameras I have. I especially like the projector feature,,i.e.-big, clear, bright pictures shown on any white surface. It didn't take long to learn all the great features it has. The instruction book is easy to read. I used up a 4gb card 1st day I had it and got an 8gb card I was having sooo much fun taking stills and videos. It was easy to down-load pix to a laptop and edit/send from there. This camera would make a great Christmas gift.
