Hello, I own a Nikon d-200 Outfit. I am currently 15 years old and it was bought for me at [...] for [$]. My parents bought me the flash, which was around $279.99 and a 18-70 Nikkor DX lens which was around $499.99. The CF(compact flash) cards in total were about $250.00, and you will definately need a case. My case was around $80.00 and it holds everything and more. All of these are optional but are very recommended(especially the flash) if you want a great picture. It was so worth the money, and I am always look forward to using it.

10.2 Megapixel D200 Digital SLR Delivers Outstanding Image Quality With Blazing Speed, Rugged Construction and Intelligent Features
The D200 promises an extremely satisfying shooting experience, with a winning combination of quality, performance, construction and advanced system features.
Employing a newly developed 10.2 effective megapixel Nikon DX Format CCD image sensor, the D200 captures images with remarkable resolution and clarity. Its sophisticated 1005-pixel 3D Color Matrix Metering II system ensures ideal exposures while an advanced Nikon image processing engine renders images with superb clarity and smooth color gradations.
The D200 reacts with lightning speed, powering-up in a mere 0.15 seconds, and firing in an imperceptible 50 millisecond shutter release lag time. It can shoot five frames per second with a drastically shortened viewfinder blackout time of just 105 milliseconds between shots. Its large, bright viewfinder offers 0.94x magnification for comfortable and precise composition while a new 2.5 inch LCD screen provides ultra-wide 170 degrees viewing angle from all directions.
With an all new 11-area autofocus system, robust control of Nikon's i-TTL Creative Lighting System and advanced Wi-Fi image-transmission options, the D200 is a perfect fit for discriminating photographers and a natural choice for wedding, event and action photographers.
The AF-S DX 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED covers a very popular foc al length range (equivalent to 27-105mm in 35mm format), and offers a selection of Nikon's highly regarded technologies such as Silent Wave motor (AF-S) for super fast and quiet autofocus operation, Extra-Low Dispersion glass (ED) for minimized chromatic aberrations, and Internal Focusing (IF) for convenient and balanced handling.
In addition, the AF-S DX 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED also incorporates hallmark Nikon features that customers have come to expect from Nikkor lenses, such as distance information guide window, a reliable metal lens mount for years of durability, and a M/A mode for seamless switching between autofocus and manual modes.
Designed exclusively for use with DX Format SLR cameras, DX Nikkor lenses deliver a versatile range of angle-of-view, higher performance, and outstanding center-to-edge-to-corner image quality, while realizing smaller and lighter designs. All DX Nikkor lenses have a picture angle comparable to that of 35mm format lenses with a 1.5x factor.
