The Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ8 Digital Camera is a compact point-and-shoot featuring a 16 Mp CCD image sensor and fast Venus Engine processor for high-resolution photos and HD 1280 x 720p video recording. Its 12x optical zoom lens provides a 35mm equivalent focal length range of 24-288mm, covering wide-angle to extended telephoto perspectives and optical image stabilization counteracts motion blur for clear shots--even at the longest zoom setting or in low-light situations. Additionally, the camera is equipped with a 3.0", 460K-dot LCD monitor.

The DMC-SZ8 features Wi-Fi, allowing you to wirelessly connect the camera directly to your smartphone or tablet without searching for a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can even use your smart device as a secondary monitor and focus, zoom and capture images right from it. With the Instant Transfer function, photos are automatically sent to the designated electronic devices immediately post-capture.

A variety of special effects add fun to the shooting experience. Benefit from Creative Control and Creative Retouch, plus Creative Panorama for capturing extremely wide shots.
