Shopper : Camera keeps showing "Built in Memory Full" .Is there a fix?SHARON H : I wish I had an answer, but I have never had that problem. You might want to check with customer support at Panasonic.PATRICK M : never had this issue with 2 years of useDARRELL S : The built-in internal memory is ONLY 12MB. Each photograph taken uses approx. 5.5 MB of memory so you can only take a couple of photos using the internal memory. To remove the message just delete the photos that are stored in the internal memory.GORDON L : Simply get an SD memory card and install it into the slot on the bottom of the camera, beside where the battery goes. Pictures will then be saved to this card. You can then remove it and insert it into your computer in order to get the pictures, and free up the reusable space on the card. Digital cameras have limited internal memory capacity. In order to get the pictures you have currently taken, I imagine you will have to connect the cable to a computer and access them that way. You can also delete pictures directly from the camera; on the right of the LCD screen, push the switch down towards the green "play" icon. Use the button with the "bin" icon to access the "delete" menu!
Have fun with this camera!ROBERT G : For its small size its an impressive camera. Great zoom. Its one drawback is that the LCD is hard to see in bright sunlight.JOE G : Do you have a sd card in the camera? Most cameras internal memory will only handle a couple shots.
Sounds elementary, sorry if its too simple of a suggestion.
If you have a sd card in, try removing it, power down the camera, power it back up then put the card back in.JAMES G : I have not experienced this but I have a guess that perhaps there is no memory card in the camera, or the one that's in it is or has become defective. We have had one fail.
Shopper : What buttons do I need to press to be able to take macro? I have taken some with good results, but I find the macro by accident!!JAMES G : I just tried it. The lens needs to be in wide angle and it then will focus when the shutter release is pushed half way. When it is sharp, you take the picture.JAMES G : Go into menu and on mine GPS is on the top at left. Next to GPS is a vertical row of black rectangles with numbers 14M down to 0.3M. 0.3M - three tenths of a meter appears to me to be macro although I have never used it. At that setting I can fill the frame in focus with one key of this keyboard.KENNETH M : Unfortunately I dropped my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 on the ground about 6 months ago and I haven't used it ever since because it is broken. Please handle your camera with care because they are not built for sturdiness like Leicas!
As far as I remember it you can get to the macro menu by pressing the shiny metal ring on the back of the camera on the side with the macro symbol which is a stylized flower. I think the macro symbol is in the 6:00 o'clock position. After you have done your macro shots, please don't forget to cancel the macro settings or you will find yourself back in the macro menu when you switch the camera on again because the camera will not reset itself to some general purpose default menu upon shut off.
This is all written from memory so please don't use a voodoo doll on me if it is not 100% correct!DAVID B : There is a small icon on the four buttons around the menu button that has a flower icon push this and the macro menu comes up and you can decide on macro zoom or just wide and close use the buttons to engage your choice
Shopper : How do you attach a picture to an e-mail that has been downloaded to the computer?JOE G : If you're using gmail, it will say attach a file right above the address. Look around once you have an email open, there should be a paper clip icon or something of that nature. Click it and you will see a selection of flies to load.
I recommend you move the picture to the desktop first beforloading, just drag and drop it. You could drag and drop the picture into an open email then too.STEPHEN K : I wish I could help you but I never tried to sent pic through e-mailR S H : If you use Microsoft Office Outlook, click on "insert" and then select "picture". Open the picture to be downloaded and then click on "insert". The picture should appear on your draft e-mail.MELVIN M : Normally the same way as any other attachment--by clicking on the icon of a paperclip on your email letter. But the pics from this camera are high resolution and may need to be made smaller for email purposes ERIC C R : To attach a picture to an e-mail, there are two methods.
1) either you download the selected pictures to a folder on the computer and then proceed to attach them to the outgoing e-mail
2) you place the camera SD card in the SD card reader on the PC and browse to it when attaching the picture to the e-mail.
One word of caution: given the high resolution on the camera, one picture alone may be all you can attach to an e-mail since a picture can reach 5MB in size. A solution is to open the desired picture into a picture manager and "compress" it to document or web size, then attach the compressed picture to the e-mail
