This is my second Panasonic camera. My first one still works but I wanted something newer with a little more zoom and MP. This camera is a bit bigger than my first Panasonic and I think this camera might be a bit smarter than I am with all of its features and options. I've only used it once since I have it. The area I used it in I've been to dozens of times so didn't really need a camera for the day but it looks like it took really good pictures like I was expecting. I would say the price was a bit more than I wanted to pay. I expect this one to last 10 or more years.

Wonderful camera. Lightweight yet feels substantial. Adorama gave me a great package with this order, including a carrying pouch that's just the right size and a cleaning kit. Better value than other online stores.

I bought it to replaced a 35mm DSLR. I am finding that it will do everything that my other camera would at about 1/3 of the weight. It will be much easier to travel with.

This camera makes taking picture quick and easy. Images are colorful and sharp. Size makes it easy to carry in a coat pocket. Great camera for travel. I wish the aperture range was wider. I had some difficulty connecting the camera to my phone but was eventually was able to get the connected. Very happy with the camera as a point and shoot camera.

Great point and shoot zoom camera. I purchased this to replace my full size DSLR for when I need a camera but don?t or can?t lug all my gear. I was impressed with the quality of zoom and shots for such a small camera.

Well, it is compact and does offer an amazing zoom range. It also has a very usable viewfinder, which is very helpful in bright sunlight. The menus are fairly easy to navigates, and the ability to shoot in JPEG and RAW is a big plus. The only, albeit significant, downside is the use of a very small sensor. The crop factor of such a tiny sensor is how such a large zoom range is achieved, but that also means the user is dealing with what is basically a cell phone size sensor. I found the image quality was on a par with most cell phones, meaning it is fine for landscape and portrait photography. Anything else, including any subject that requires using the large zoom factor, will show severe artifacts and pixelation. It is basically a competent snapshot camera, but just is not good enough for much else. Mine was returned after a week of trying to get the ZS80 to do what I wanted it to do. The image quality is simply not what I had hoped for.

Just a solid small ?fits in your pocket? camera. Power on is fast. Battery life is hundreds of photos and recharges quickly. Zoom capability is excellent. Macro for closeups works great. Just set it on auto and fire away

Purchased for travel; light weight, small size, tilting mirror were all pluses; small sensor not a big drawback for me as I have a GX85 with a similar layout if needed.

A great little camera for hiking and general use under circumstances when a larger camera isn't practical. This camera is easy to use and has a nice assortment of features. It is a bit larger than the ideal pocket camera, but is easily carried and accessible using a small belt clip case.

Camera does not connect to Pixel 6 phone. I have tried repeatedly, and been swindled by a company (Justanswer)who promised to tell me how it's done. They sent links to two videos with instructions for other cameras. It's a nice camera but get used to manual transfers via memory card.

This camera has more bells and whistles than I think I need, but I may yet try playing with them. My main desire was to have more megapixels and zoom power than my last point-and-shoot camera without spending too much, and this Lumix gave me that. I haven't had time to play with it properly, but am very happy with a few comparison photos of birds in the garden. I look forward to using the burst function to catch those birds in action.

The DC-ZS80is a truly pocket sized camera. I really like the articulated screen plus view finder, and powerful zoom. I am still learning all the functions, but I took it on vacation got great pictures. Only issue, it might be a bit TOO small. Buttons are close together and takes some care to grip. Could be difficult for someone with large hands. But it's better than using cellphone, in my opinion.

So far I like this little Lumix. Takes nice sharp images with the Leica lens. And has raw file which was a key selling point. Downside, setting changes are not intuitive and the full manual is over 300 pages, and the directions are a bit vague.

Would probably give it 5 stars but I went to transfer some pictures to my phone while out on a trail using the Bluetooth and it said I needed Wi-Fi but when I do it at home it disconnects my Wi-Fi. Bluetooth should not need Wi-Fi. I also want to install the image app on my PC and that does not seem to be very easy to do.

I have owned several Panasonic Travel Cameras and have generally been pleased. This model is one of the best. Nice wide angle and the extended reach of the camera works well if you use the viewfinder. I use a Micro four thirds camera for most of my photography but when a bigger camera is a negative, this camera works well. Very nice camera for the price.

I've owned this camera for about 3 months and am generally pleased. It travels well, takes great videos and movies and has many setting options. The trade off is the viewfinder is small, although the rear LCD screen is bright and can be used in most shooting situations. I can't pull up the RAW images on my Mac, only the jpegs and I don't want to install the Panasonic software. Jpegs are fine for my purposes. The included instructions are basic. I found a well written book on the very similar ZS70 model which helped me understand and use many of the options on this camera.

Have had some time to play with the new camera so far I really like it seems to take great pictures and have plenty of options. One of the reasons I bought this camera specifically was it’s Bluetooth ability to stream photos to my phone as I’m taking the pictures. That function works exactly as you would expect it to work. Heading to Italy later this month so I will update the review when I return
