Sharp little camera, and I don?t mean Focus :) (but that too) It takes a little time to figure out the menu & function buttons but I?m quite happy with the results. Using for an EDC/Street Camera and keep it handy when out with my 780 or Z6 with a Prime on them. Only Con, the the Flash Unit is a ?Meh?!

This camera is impressive, packs most of the advanced features found in advanced mirrorless cameras into a compact body. A fantastic value for its price. This is not a toy and should only be considered by photo enthusiasts who want to take their photography to the next step. It has a lot to offer.

This is a terrific little camera that is far more than a point and shoot. It provides extensive control with aperture and shutter settings and manual focusing and actual dials like my old Nikon film camera. It has most of the electronic options that the larger Lumix cameras have. But it's small size makes it easy to take with you wherever you go. The fast Leica zoom lens puts it a cut above many other cameras in this price range. It also has a larger sensor then most digital cameras in its price range. The build is solid. It's also a good camera for people just getting into photography as the intelligent auto setting provides good results in most situations for those who aren't ready to manually set their exposure and shutter speed.

Good choice for the point-and-shoot aficionado who aspires to use the features of a high-end camera without the bulk of a DSLR or ILMC. The 3.1x zoom is sufficient for most settings that do not require long-zoom ability, but there are sufficient pixels to make a satisfactory occasional shot using 3x additional digital zoom. Bright lens of Leica glass allows good shots with available light. Overall a great upgrade from my old DC-LX5.

Good choice for the point-and-shoot aficionado who aspires to become proficient with photo details. Narrow optical zoom means it will not replace a IL long zoom, but there are enuf pixels to occasionally make a satisfactory 3x digital zoom.

There’s a lot to love about this camera- the controls, EVF, image quality, and how it feels in my hands. However, the menu setting are very challenging to navigate. However, I come from a Nikon background which has very straightforward menus. I do love the lightweight and creative features of this camera. The macro is beautiful!

We upgraded from a RX100 MKI this summer, and we're very happy with the lx100 ii this far: we're using it on a trip around the US and seems great for now!

I bought this Panasonic Lumix DC-LX100 II assuming that since it has a micro 4/3 sensor it would take sharper photos than my DMC-ZS 100 with a tiny 1" sensor! But I was in for a surprise disappointment! The DMC-ZS 100 beats the DC-LX100 II in all contests! This is simply NOT as good a camera! The photos are not sharp at all! I cannot recommend buying this camera at nearly twice the price of the DMC-ZS 100!

"The best camera is the one you have most fun with, and Panasonic packs all the fun into the LX100 lineup. A compact body means you can carry it with you every day; I still can't believe they added a Micro 4/3 sensor into this thing! The real kicker is the LX100’s ergonomics, with all of the controls and dials you'd want for every situation, perfectly positioned for easy access, and delivering one of the most fun shooting experiences around."
While it has many of the same features and specifications as its best-selling predecessor, the Lumix DMC-LX100 II comes with a few new upgrades: a 17MP 4/3" MOS sensor (increasing the megapixel count from 12.8MP to 17MP); a clearer and more vivid 3-inch TFT LCD display (921k-dots to 1240k-dots); and added touchscreen technologies for enhanced focus and exposure control. The increased resolution allows you to enjoy exclusive 4K PHOTO modes and record highly detailed, professional-quality 4K videos at 24p/30p while its Leica DC Vario-Summilux 24-75mm f/1.7-2.8 lens gives you a wide range of perspectives for various shooting situations. This built-in lens also features POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) and is made up of 11 lens elements in 8 groups—including aspherical and extra-low dispersion (ED) elements—for superior-quality images with minimized distortion and aberrations. The large maximum aperture provides impressive low light capabilities and offers true selective focusing, while the 9 aperture blades help ensure stunning bokeh quality. Finally, with a more refined body, a handier grip, and ergonomically placed control dials and buttons, this stylish compact camera is the perfect, easy-to-use imaging tool for everyday shooting.
The LUMIX LX100 II offers a 17.0-megapixel in 4:3 aspect. Even the finest details can be precisely captured with the increased resolution of the new sensor. Along with a full hybrid photography experience with 24p / 30p 4K video and exclusive 4K PHOTO modes, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and a near DSLR-like photo experience with traditional lens-mounted and body-mounted exposure controls.
The LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX lens (35mm camera equivalent: 24-75mm) comprises 11 elements in 8 groups, including 2 ED lenses and 5 aspherical lenses with 8 aspherical surfaces with POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer). The lens boasts F1.7-F2.8 high speed light capture and high descriptiveness in detail and resolution to corners. Together with the large MOS Sensor it also produces stunningly beautiful defocus.
LEICA DC lenses are manufactured using measurement instruments and quality assurance systems certified by Leica Camera AG based on the company's quality standards. Camera enthusiasts will appreciate the aperture ring and shutter speed dial. Looking through the viewfinder, your right hand naturally finds the exposure compensation dial. The LUMIX LX100 II interfaces with you in a way that makes sense, while also making photography more satisfying.
With its new premium grip and refined body styling, the LUMIX LX100 II encourages you to pick it up, shoot with it and carry it with you everywhere. Plus, the camera's upper case comes with a shiny black finish that recalls classic camera design to further emphasize its classic refinement
