Shopper : What would be the best all around lens for the k-5 lls system? How does the 55-300 mm compare in this catagory?PAMELA K : I own both the K5iis and the 55-300 lens. While this lens is excellent at what I use it for (birding), in my opinion, it is not a candidate for best all round lens because it is bulky and heavy for every day use. This is a practicality opinion....I am 5'8", so not petite, and I can tell you after a day of walking around with this kit on my hip belt or around my neck, I notice it. Think about what you will use your kit for and where you will be using it. When I go birding, I use this lens. When I take my camera out for general use, family parties, etc., I go for for one my smaller and lighter primes. I'm guessing you are looking for a zoom lens that covers the majority of everyday situations. I have heard good things about the 17-70mm, although I don't own that one. Good luck!REZA R : Hi; it depends , all around my preference would be 18-135 or 16-50 . however 55-300 is a good lens , I use it shooting animals .ROBERT O : My vote for the best all around lens would be the Pentax smc Pentax-DA 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 ED SDM Lens. The extra 18-55 would be much more useful than the extra 270-300 with the other lens. You wont miss the 270-300 range at all.MARCUS P : That is hard question, it really depends on what you shoot, your price range, and if you can deal with prime lenses (vs flexibility of zooms). If you are looking for a zoom lens in that focal length range the 55-300 is a good choice. Quality + price is good. If you want a great 300mm lens, the DA* 300mm is excellent. I have both, they each have their time and place. I highly recommend the FA limited primes (31mm, 43mm, 77mm) as well. Again if you want the flexibility of a zoom those will be out. Also, if you want a wide angle lens the newer Samyang/Rokinon/etc 10mm is a great sharp lens with good color. Any lens you choose will perform better on this camera than previous models.MAX K : Well, 55-300 leaves out everything on the wide angle end, so I wouldn't really consider it an all around lens. For something you can really use anywhere, I'd recommend the 35mm F2.8 Macro Limited. Despite the fact this is a fixed lens designed for macro photography, I have found it to be exceedingly sharp for mid-range focus and landscape. And at 35mm, it will be useful for portraits as well. While it's lack of zoom may be annoying at first, the improved image quality more than makes up for it.LAWRENCE C : In my opinion, the 18-270mm is a much more versatile lens. I find the extra 30mm of zoom, hand-help (or otherwise), is pretty useless. The ability to take wide angle shots is very desirable. It is however much more expensive BUT I think most folks will regret the comparatively narrow field of view of the 55-300mm....I consider it a huge limitation. My favorite lens is Pentax's 35mm limited macro as my interests are nature shots close-up plus decent wide angle shots. I later bought a Sigma 18-250mm that I am happy with (but I now see it is about $200 more than when I bough it). I will say that if $ is not a huge object, go with Pentax. Yes, I do own a K5II-s (and a K-20).JAYME N : The 55-300 for cropped sensors is pretty much a telephoto only lens. The 18-135 may be a better option for an all around lens, or even the 18-270. It will depend on what your preferred focal lengths are. Hope this helps... Good luck there!FREDERICK J L : The 18-135 is a good match; useful range, fast AF, weather sealed, and good IQ. 55-300 gets you more reach, but you lose wide angle and AF hunts a bit.Helen R : I got the Sigma DC 18-250 and think I have just about the perfect setup. I've been shooting with this combo for a couple of years now and am constantly amazed with the quality. This is a very fast lens for the range - 3.5 - 6.3. It's a great pair, as the K-5 lls sharpness means the results are good even at the extended focal range. The only pro is the weight, as this is not a light lens, but sometimes weight will help you steady yourself for slower shots.TIMOTHY B : I frequently shoot with the 55-300 as well as the Sigma 50-500. I own and use 14 lens with this camera ranging from a 10-24mm to 50-500. Quality is good across the entire range.
Shopper : Can you use the vintage Pentax model k lenses? Even though some are manual?SERGEY G : Yes. You can use both K-mount and 42mm threaded old lenses (with adapter though)ROBERT F : Yes. I've used a SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.4 lens on my camera.PETER S : Sorry, too new to the camara to say. Rgd's PeterANTHONY G : It would use all pentax lenses in the K series but will not make a manual lens focus automatically. Important to remember that the shake reduction feature is in the camera not the lenses.R PAUL R : Yes.NANCY W : I do not have a vintage k lens, but I do have a k lens that is manual. It takes really nice shots.CRAIG K : Yes you can but you will loose some functionality. I like to stick with lenses that have an A on the apeture ring and then turn on "use with apeture ring" in the settings. This way you do not loose functionality.JEFFREY C : ABSOLUTELY! One of the Pentax strengths is that EVERY Pentax lens ever made can be used with EVERY Pentax DSLR. Even 42mm screw thread mount lenses can be used with an inexpensive adapter that Pentax makes. As you suggest, some lenses can be used only in manual mode with manual focusing, but, they can be used. Many Pentax owners are very happy with being able to use their "antique" lenses. JeffABRAM O : Yes, you can use any K mount lens without an adapter. If you want to use the older screw mount m42 lenses you can but you need to Buy an adapter.JOHN F : Yes, but not in full automatic mode since the lenses are manual. See the K5 Operating Manual page 297 for details for each lens type.
PAUL L : I would like to upgrade from a ME-Super, will this camera use the lenses and accessories that I have for the ME Super?SID A : All K Mount lenses will work. They will be manual focus and exposure on the K series DSLRs. (Very much like using the ME.) I also have an ME and a K2 from the seventies. I like using the old 50/1.4 and 200/4.0 on the digital cameras. Also, the K5 sensor is considerably smaller than a 35mm frame. You will have an approximately 1.5x "crop factor" when using the old lenses. Examples: A 50mm lens from a 35mm film camera will look and act like a 75mm lens on an APS DSLR like the K5. One of the reasons I've stayed Pentax over the last 40 years is the backwards compatibility of the lenses. Back in the 70s/80s Canon woud switch mounts every couple of years. BTW you can also use old Pentax screw mount lenses if you by a $10 adapter. I have an ancient Spiratone 400 that sees occasional use on the K5.FRANCIS M : Yes, the lenses will work. Of course, if they are not autofocus lenses, you will have to manually focus them as you did on the ME-Super (most lenses at the time of the ME-Super were not AF lenses). They will also need to be "A" lenses to properly utilize many of the other auto settings by the K-5IIs; non-"A" lenses will work, but with more manual input by the photographer. One of the big advantages of the Pentax digital cameras is that all the Pentax lenses made for Pentax 35mm cameras will work on their digital cameras- albeit with some limitations that may require more manual input by the photographer than new lenses. The (your) old lenses will even be able to take advantage of the shake reduction feature as it is built into the body (something they didn't have when used on a film camera like the ME-Super). Other accessories from the ME-Super, probably not so much. Batteries- no; motor winder- not needed (built into K-5IIs); viewfinder magnifier- no; tripod- yes; straps- yes; lense filters- yes; cases- possibly; cable release- no; flash- probably yes with some limitations (but the K-5IIs has a decent built-in flash for close and medium distances). Not sure what other accessories you may have. The K-5IIs is a good camera for someone with some older Pentax lenses. One can use the older lenses to learn the new camera and one's desires in digital photography. When you start buying new lenses with all the bells and whistles, the old lenses can still be used to fill in the gaps and for emergency backups. Most of the old lenses still give outstanding results with the new digital cameras- just with a little less convenience (but the pictures look the same!). Hope this helps. Good Luck!KIM R B : I don't know about the lens. I had a pentax K10D before and one of my third party lenses didn't work on the Pentax k-5IIs, but my other three did. If you go to the pentax website they may offer some assistance regarding lens compatibility. I have seen charts online for this type of thing in the past year or so.PHILIP B : As I recall, the ME Super was a manual camera, so your lenses from way back then won't know how to work with the K5 to auto focus. Manual focus isn't particularly easy with the K5 screen, at least not with my old eyes, but it can be done. If the lens has an "aperture ring" (f/stop markings with an 'A' for auto at one end of the scale), then the lens will be able to communicate some info to the camera. Even the oldest lenses that do not have the aperture ring can work, using a trick called "catch in focus." The how-to is in the manual, but basically you pre-focus, hold down the shutter, and then move the camera or the subject until some portion appears at the pre-set distance. Then the shutter will fire. When you first attach an old lens to the K5, it may ask you how long is the focal length in mm. Just select the right number from a list presented to you on the screen. The K5 has an APS-C sensor, so all your old lenses will be a little longer than you are used to. Multiply the focal length by 1.5 and that is about right. For example, your old 50mm will work more like a 75mm on the K5. Don't know about your other "accessories". If you have a wire-within-a-sheath remote shutter release, that will not work. You'll need an electrical remote. Old electronic flashes can fry the K5's computer. The sync polarity is either wrong or the voltage is too high. Get a new pentax compatible on camera flash or put a Wein Safe Sync between the camera and the flash to compensate. Hope this helps. I'm really enjoying the image quality I get with the anti-aliasing filter gone.MIKE G : All your old Pentax lenses will fit (as long as they are not the old screw mount, then they will require an adaptor). The older lenses will not auto focus obviously though. If they are the "A" series lenses, the K5II will even be able to control the aperture automatically too. I have this camera, it is fantastic, and is the one that finally made me switch from film, and I was even shooting a different brand. There is an excellent Pentax forum on the web that can answer all your questions.IRVING F : It uses the the lenses from my SF1 film camera. 70-210 f4-5.6 and 35-70 f3.5-4.5 macro. You have to set the lens to A on the F stop ring, other then that it reads everything and sets the F stop thru the K5 viewer. They still take very sharp pictures also.GEORGE S : yes the lens are interchangeable.BRIGITTE T : Yes. It has a k-mount. But you will have to use manual focus. I have found that the newer lenses are better for me. The auto-focus is better than my eyes.DENNIS B : Sorry, I cannot answer your Q because I always owned a Pentax DSLR and never done an upgrade. You may have to ask Pentax direct.ILA R : I have no idea, but Pentax says that you can use every lens that Pentax ever made on any Pentax camera. The K-5IIs is a wonderful camera, but why not get the latest model?FREDERICK J L : Absolutely. The Pentax K5 IIs has the same lens mount (K mount) and will accommodate all Pentax lenses of this type - old and new. Check out the Pentax USA and the Pentax forum websites. K5IIs is an excellent camera.WAYNE H : It will use any k-mount lens, old or new.REZA R : pentax has kept the same k mount , so any pentax lens will work . btw this is a great camera . as it is rated the image quality is even better than the new k3.GREG N : Yes, but a menu setting must be changed to make K and M series K mount lenses work with the camera, and those lenses must be shot in manual. Any old TTL flashes will only work as manual or autoflash as well, not in TTL. I've used lenses such as the M 20 f4, K 28 3.5, and K 35 3.5 with the K-5iis. I've also used the old AF280T flash with it as well.MARK M : The answer is yes! Pentax is committed to producing cameras that will use all their prior lenses. Your lens are manual lenses from an ME Super. There is an adjustment in menu to have camera accept other than an automatic lens. C 4 27 on my K 3. It "using aperture ring" set it to 2. Set camera function to manual. You can control shutter speed in camera and manually set aperture on the lens. You then push a control on camera and you get a bar showing over and under exposure. Adjust shutter speed or aperture till it is centered. Much like an old spotmatic. Sounds complicated but it isn't. I have a manual 200 mm I use all the time. You can get good deals on old manual lenses.BRIAN K : Paul, The K-5IIs works with all Pentax K-mount lenses and it works particularly well with older manual focus lenses, such as the K, M, and A series. I also use Nikon and can say that the Pentax is a much more enjoyable experience for manual focusing due to the "green button" function which gives you a quick stop-down meter reading as a starting point. My only grip is that while you get an in-finder indicator to confirm focus, it isn't a "peaking" readout. It's just on or off, but you don't know which way. That said, the solid body is a joy to use with older solid metal lenses--a very nice contrast to the all-plastic DSLR's sold these days. Please note that any accessories besides lenses probably won't work--I wouldn't even connect an old flash to any modern DSLR to avoid risk of damaging the circuits with mismatched voltage. But that's just me...anyway, highly recommended camera.

Outstanding Camera

Too bad Pentax doesn't advertise more. Feature to feature, they are better equipped than both Canon and Nikon at the same level. You get so much more for your money with Pentax.

Wow!

I just unbox my k-5iis yesterday and started shooting out the box. I've taken over three hundred photos and nearly everything is a keeper. The image stabilizer on this camera is the best I've ever used. I'm using a 26 something year old 50mm prime lens in manual mode that I purchase overseas. The photos are untouch using the onboard flash! I wanted to add photos taken without flash and they're tack-sharp as well. This site only allow two photos. The Sharpness of the Pentax K-5iis is unbelievable! Allow my Photos to speak for themselves.

Excellent DSLR.

I shoot nature subjects from a wheel chair. Image stabilization allows slow shutter speeds without blur. Pentaprism accuracy allows tracking small subject s while manual focus is used. From tiny insects and plants underfoot to aircraft over head they Pentax meets the challenge. No fear of wet conditions either due to weather sealing. It is heavy on the neck, but a small price to pay for a rugged camera.

Great value

Only had the camera a couple of weeks. So far, this is a feature packed camera that takes great photos. This is my 2nd Pentax DSLR. Big leap up from my K 10 D.

Great Transaction

Got this to upgrade my K5, enjoying it so far. Glass LCD cover, lack of anti-aliasing filtering are big pluses. Great product, pricing and shipping.

Stellar!

This issue has hit the mark dead on! It handles noise much better than the K20D and the lack of antialiasing makes the shots pop. Exposure and color are typically perfect.

my 2nd Pentax camera

i am not a professional photographer. i am an architect who loves to shoot photo and make experiment with them. this camera is very friendly to shoot. i love this camera. its size and weight is great. and soundless focusing system is awesome. Things that aren't so great about it!!! i think 24 megapixel with bigger sensor should be there.if i use zoom lens the build in flash makes a shadow on close portrait. single slot memory card.

I love this camera

I upgraded from a Pentax K200 to the K-5 IIs. I love everything about this camera, including the look and feel of it. It is much quieter than the K200 and performs so much better at higher ISOs ... 'noise' is less noticeable. I am currently taking one photo a day throughout 2013 so have used it in many different lighting situations. I would certainly recommend it.

A step toward a more perfect photo

Nothing is a perfect 5, so I wish I could refine the grade for my K-5 IIs with a 4.75. This terrific creative tool feels like it was meant to be in my hands—not just in an ergonomic way but also with the sense of excellent stability, technology, and reliability. Though I loved and really, really used my K-D20, this new one lets me step up my game... If you must, please forgive the sports jargon; but I express it this way because, at the end of another experience of nature's beauty and mystery, I see that the "final score" of the day of shooting has captured qualities that eye has not conveyed to brain. That's one of my great joys of photographing in nature. With birds, usually one has no time to study a setting. What a kick to get the image on a monitor only to discover there are several other elements the camera got. The K-5 IIs forgives a lot of shade and darkness—and you deal with lots of that not only in nature photography but most types. Using a Sigma 150-500mm on this camera definitely has stepped up the quality of images of birds -- and bees and bugs and butterflies. The best measure of refinement has come from people who comment on a noticeably stronger, more real, more lovely quality -- with no knowledge of my tools. My only qualm is the design of access to the memory card: It can be too tight a fit for larger hands/fingers and for arthritic, impaired mitts.

Camera for speed

If I had to take photos from concert - it is the best. Speed, quite. WB is greate. But When I want to take landscapes - colors of K200D I like more. However, it's a very-very good stuff. May be I just want another Pentax?;)

Switched from Canon - Worth it!

Same size as Canon's lower end DSLRs while built like their higher ends. If it's too small you can just add on a battery grip, and everything's still weather sealed. I've been out in the rain for about an hour with the 50-135mm and it was all fine :D Lacks on autofocus, and when looking through images it's slow, but you get used to it.

IT FITS MY WILLS

This camera is simply awesome: it's user friendly, easy to use, confortable, tropicalized and powerful. The Pentax K-5 IIs may only lack of some megapixels and some focus points. I really like most Pentax new and "vintage" lenses and this is an awesome body to use them on. I won't talk about it's specs, as those are informations you can easily get elsewhere, I'll try to make you understand why I love it. I dunno how to say it precisely, this is a camera that I really enjoy handling and love shooting with. The K-5 just feels great in my hands and satisfies my wishes. I feel that this product is always in line with my thoughts and desires. The commands are just "there" and the final result always suits my initial purpose.

Great upgrade...

Having used the K-x, the K-5 iis offers a great feel in the hand with the slightly larger body. Quiet shutter, TAv mode, grip option and excellent image quality offer a great opportunity to expand one's photography.

Great improvement over the original K-5

I bought this to use along with my original K-5, and this is my go-to primary camera. It beats the original K-5 in some respects with much better low light autofocus performance and excellent image quality, but in most other respects it's identical. This isn't a bad thing, as the original K-5 is quite a camera. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high-level body.

Nice Upgrade

This was a nice upgrade to the K-7. Since I work at a small newspaper, I use my camera for everything from sports to "grip and grins." I really appreciate the weatherproof part and the fact that some new, quality low-light lenses are becoming available. What's not so good? I can't rent the big, multi-thousand dollar lenses because they only come with Nikon and Cannon mounts. Occasionally I have the use for one.

excellent camera

I love this camera. I can carry it around for hours and my hands aren't sore the next day. The controls and UI are really well designed. It takes a while to learn where everything is but once you do the controls are really well laid out. The camera can almost literally focus in complete darkness. There are only two things I am less than 100% happy with about this camera. First, the auto-focus is fiddly. The actual place that the camera focuses on seems to not be the exact place where the focus dots are in the viewfinder. Or maybe its just that the focus indicators in the view screen are very large while the actual point of focus is much smaller. Whatever the case, it took some adjusting of where I point the focus points before I started to get consistent results. Second, the camera takes a long time to write files to the sd card and while it is doing it you can't preview the images. I tend to shoot, then look at the histogram and it takes a fairly long time to write those files to the sd card so I spend a few seconds longer than I want to waiting on the camera before I can look at the histogram.

1/2 year later

This DSLR is more of a Pro than a lot of Part-Time Photographers, if they came out with a Full-Frame DSLR at the same time I would have bought both. When coupled with a 500mm Telephoto it's brighter than a 800mm for $3000.00 less, with my 50mm f/1.2 it's a great portrait prime (75mm f/1.2) for 1/4 of the Canon, but my used Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 is brighter and better than any 135mm as well as 1/2 the cash. Few if any of the photos I took from Halloween till now needed photo-shopping as a result of having no moire filter (San AA filter) and were easily fixed because I save all my photos in RAW (Adobe DNG will be around for 10,000+ years) so I can tweak the ones I want to, like most pros. The resolution and color make me glad I paid extra for great glass and the Frames-Per-Second, Quick Auto-Focus, (Low Noise/High ISO) Low-Light capability make sense for Dangerous Wild-Life photos on a budget. It's a shame I can't use my bright wide and ultra-wide angle lenses to bring home the bacon unless they come out with a Full-Frame DSLR, but it or my K-5 will be a great back-up if and when Pentax finally comes out with my FF DSLR.

Best bang for your buck

By Preci s.

This camera is very solid, easy to use and packed with plenty of features. Speedy at 7FPS. Good overall ergonomics. IQ are stunning so far with my Pentax 1.4 fifty. I also like being able to convert last photo taken from jpeg to raw, in camera photo editing, filter effects, adjustment for contrast/sharpness/vibrance etc. The electronic leveling feature is nice also; which insures the camera is leveled correctly before you can take the picture. This is the first pentax I ever owned, and so fa...

Sometimes, it helps to have a camera capable of working as hard as you do. The Pentax K-5 IIs gives you everything you need for startlingly vivid outdoor, live event, and even studio/portrait shots.

Learn about the PENTAX K-5 IIS DSLR CAMERA

Who ever said that affordability couldn’t be paired with pure photographic firepower? It wasn’t Adorama. Meet the PENTAX K-5 IIS DSLR CAMERA, a camera body designed to handle just about every scenario you can throw at it. Pentax’s reputation for building outdoor-friendly cameras means it’s optimized for durability, live events, and plenty of landscape shots—so if you see a sunset that you don’t want to forget, you know where to go for your go-to camera.

But what exactly makes this Pentax K-5 IIs so unique here at Adorama? And does it really have the power to compete with cameras at a higher price point? Let’s answer those questions right now:

  • Body construction is key in the Pentax universe; after all, no one’s going to trust an outdoor camera that can’t actually handle the outdoors. The Pentax K-5 IIs is water-resistant, cold-resistant, dust-resistant…essentially, it’s outdoors-resistant. And that’s good news, because every Pentax camera is great at handling the outdoors. But this camera, the IIs, is a little special: it can handle both commercial and studio photography as well. Though built around the same 16MP APS CMOS sensor as the II, this camera has features that even the most battle-hardened professionals might consider appropriate for indoor use.
  • The sharpness and detailing here is truly something you have to see to believe. Part of that is due to the fact that the Pentax K-5 IIs features no anti aliasing filter. And part of it is the ISO range of 100-12,800 native (expandable to 80-51,200). This camera produces crystal-clear photos that rival anything you’ll see in the commercial/studio industry, and does it with the versatility of working just as well in an outdoor environment. This means that wedding receptions, parties, concerts, and other nighttime events are all fair game.
  • Did we mention durability? Because there’s more to durability than simply being able to take a licking. The Pentax K-5 IIs features a magnesium alloy exterior, to be sure, as well as a highly rigid stainless steel chassis. But there’s more to durability; a camera should feature shake reduction optical elements in order to ensure that the durability actually counts for better photographs in a more improvisational environment. This camera features exactly that, allowing you to take beautiful landscape shots at a moment’s notice.
  • The viewfinder on such a contraption is of paramount importance, because whether you’re shooting indoors or outdoors, you need to be able to quickly frame a picture with accuracy. This glass Pentaprism viewfinder features a 100% field of view. And the focusing screen allows for manual focusing that rivals anything a professional could ever hope to control, giving you more direct influence over the quality of your shots.
  • If you consider yourself a photography expert, the IIs gives you control over more than raw focus: it gives you intense details, allowing photographers who shoot in RAW to better handle any distortion themselves.

There’s no doubt that the PENTAX K-5 IIS DSLR CAMERA is a serious camera for serious photography enthusiasts. But it’s versatile enough for anyone, handling family photos, landscapes, scenery, low light situations, action, travel, video, wildlife, and more. Semi-pro photographers who want a sophisticated outdoor-ready camera don’t have to look beyond this camera body.

From the Manufacturer
Pentax is carving out a substantial niche for itself by focusing many of its products on the outdoor and adventure market. Today the Ricoh-owned camera maker introduced two new flavors of its top line camera, the Pentax K-5 II and Pentax K-5 IIs. Both cameras feature a rugged body construction that is water-, cold- and dust-resistant, and are built around the same 16MP APS CMOS sensor. The main difference is that the K-5IIs comes without an anti-aliasing filter, making it better suited for commercial and studio photography, while the K-5 II is designed to be taken to places where the photographer may not necessarily have control over lighting.

Pentax K-5 IIs Key Features:
16MP CMOS sensor
No anti aliasing filter: improved sharpness and detail
ISO range 100-12,800 native, expandable to 80-51,200
3-inch, 921k dot LCD monitor
Weather-resistant
Shake Reduction Optical
Viewfinder with 100% field of view
7fps burst rate up to 30 consecutive images in JPEG
18 digital filters
RAW or JPEG format

The Pentax K-5 II's magnesium alloy exterior and highly rigid stainless steel chassis is sturdy and lightweight, with 77 seals to keep out dust and rain. The camera i s claimed to offer reliable operation down to 14 degrees F, and has a shutter release with a top shutter speed of 1/8000 second, rated to last up to 100,000 shots.

The glass Pentaprism viewfinder offers a full 100% field of view, with a Natural-Brigh t Matte II focusing screen for easier manual focusing. The camera has a Shake Reduction mechanism that can compensate for up to three stops worth of shakiness, according to Pentax; helpful features include an electric level function with a vertical level scale, automated compensation for distortion and lateral chromatic aberration when using Pentax's DA, D, FA and FA limited lenses (all of which are available at Adorama). You have a choice of three grid patterns while in live view mode.

The difference between this K-5 IIs camera and the K-5 II version is that this K-5 IIs does not come with a built-in anti-aliasing filter. The filter reduces digital distortion, in particular the moiré pattern found in certain shots, however it also decreases detail resolution. Removing the anti-alias properties means the K-5 IIs offers superior resolution and intense details and is ideal for photographers who shoot in RAW and can control better moiré and distortion without the in-camera filtering.

Pentax K-5 IIs Features

  • Anti Aliasing filterless design: Anti Aliasing filterless design achieves superior resolution for rich, detailed imagery at supreme resolution where camera settings, lens selection and shooting conditions are controlled to prevent moire.
  • Stay obsessed - great just got better: The K-5 II takes greatness to the next level. Its high resolution sensor, highly advanced autofocus system and accurate shake reduction system coupled with its weather sealed coldproof design ensure that this camera is worthy of fixation.

  • Air-gap-free, scratch resistant, 3 inch LCD: Air-gap-free, scratch resistant, 3 inch LCD with 921,000 dots of resolution offers a premium image review experience by eliminating the gap typically found between the LCD screen and screen cover, giving a brighter and sharper image.
