The Impact Soundworks Pedal Steel - Virtual Instrument is a very realistic sounding pedal steel sound with a very ingenious MIDI controller system. It is not exactly an easy install for Logic Pro because you have to jump thru IBM type hoops and typical user unfriendly interfaces, however it can be done.

My review is a bit premature here... I say that in regard to my own experience with the plug-in. However, I have tested it and viewed the tutorials online and I can say with confidence that this will deliver what I want it to on my recordings when I've played around with it some more. I am writing this to tell others that this deal is actually for real. I was pretty paranoid about it as it seemed too good to be true. But it's the real deal. Playing it right now! Great stuff. Thank you!

Become a master of the unique and expressive sound of the Pedal Steel Guitar with this innovative virtual instrument from Adorama. Designed by Dimitris Plagiannis, this high-quality digital tool focuses on delivering authentic performances with user-friendly features. It's perfect for creating rich harmonies and sonorous leads simultaneously, making it a versatile choice for various music genres including jazz, country, and bluegrass.
The Pedal Steel Virtual Instrument pays homage to the century-old American classic, the pedal steel guitar. Originating from the Hawaiian Islands, this instrument evolved from a regular guitar played with a dull knife to produce a signature sliding tone, to the electrified pedal steel guitar we know today. This virtual instrument captures the unique sound and flexibility of a pedal steel guitar, without requiring the user to master the complex techniques of the actual instrument.
Our Pedal Steel Virtual Instrument was created by recording a standard 10-string E9 pedal steel guitar (Nashville tuning) through a DI box, later re-amped with Fender and MESA/Boogie tube amps. The amps were recorded at their speaker output using a reactive load box, allowing them to be used with any cabinet IR, including our own Console FX rack and mixer.
This professional-grade virtual instrument offers multiple modes of playing, whether you want monophonic leads, polyphonic chords, or harmonized melodies. It features an innovative harmony system that uses simple keyswitching with a powerful editor to produce nearly unlimited voicings. The unique layout allows you to create harmonies underneath melodies without using multiple tracks.
The Pedal Steel Virtual Instrument comes with Console, our new mixer and modular effects rack. Console provides you with 30 effects modules to choose from, including multiple EQs, compressors, spatial FX, modulation FX, amps, distortion pedals, reverbs, and a selection of over 30 custom cabinet IRs. With Console, you can easily save and load FX chains or presets between projects or even different Console-enabled ISW instruments.
This virtual instrument boasts nearly 10,000 x 24bit recordings, DI and two amp channels to mix, meticulous per-string/per-fret sampling, an average of 9x RR per key, sustain and harmonic articulations, legato, vibrato, pitch bends, and multiple temperament + tuning tables. Experience the versatility and quality of the Pedal Steel Virtual Instrument, a perfect addition to your music production toolkit.
