Shopper : will this work in sony nex-5, is there any advantage?RICHARD K : I'm using it in the Sony a77 for fast sports action. Should work in new-5, but Id try the 8gb version.ALAN H : Should work in the NEX just fine. Works well in my GH2.ROBERT E : According to Sony's compatability page, it will work (Google "Sony nex-5 sd card compatibility" - site doesn't allow links). Using mine in an a65, I use a similar SanDisk SDHC card in a NEX-5n for medical office photos. Both have fast write times for continuous shutter speed photos (hobbyist nature photographer). I rarely do video with these cameras, but the fast write time should help there as well. Worth it over a less expensive class 10 SD card? Questionable, but it's a small cost difference relative to the price of the camera and lenses.

Great size and speed for my uses

I have a number of these for various cameras and use them without problems. Shooting hi res and RAW requires space and speed and these fit the bill.

exactly as expected

worked when it arrived. cheap compared to other cards in its storage/performance range. however, life time, i have only had very few cards fail me and it was because i was really abusing them (leaving in hot places, humidity, reused a ton of times without storing in a case, etc). besides, that's what the camera has 2 SD slots for... i would buy these again.

A Fast Memory Card

I bought this for the Canon SL1, before this SD card, it always buffered whenever I held the shutter button down, now with this new Sony SD card, I can keep my finger on the button without any pause. Best of all the low price was great. So great I even ordered two of the 16 GB.

Fast.

I use this card in my Sony a580 dslr camera. It has no problem keeping up with continuous shooting at 7 fps. It also does well when recording HD video. Highly recommend.

Works great

Not much to tell here. The card didn't fail, and did a great job keeping up with my new D600. :) The only downside (!) is that Adorama threw in a free (and fast!) 32GB Sandisk Extreme SD card with my order...on top of the two SD cards I purchased! I could have saved a few dollars and bought one less card...but that's not really a bad thing, just a comment.

this card is very fast. it has no hesitation in reading or writing. when shooting video the card has no problem with recording
