Absolutely love this camera. Can't wait to take it to Italy this summer.

For this mom in the stand it is an amazing camera! It was a huge up grade from what I was using. Picture quality with the kit lens has been great. The simplicity of the settings has been easy to learn with a little help from the internet/YouTube. I have added a GM 70-200 lens which has been fun to use in landscape photos. I am very happy and excited for this camera!

This camera is quite incredible. I was looking for a compact camera that I could carry around as I fly from airport to airport in my light plane (1968 Citabria). I have been using an old Olympus Pen E-LP2) but wanted higher resolution, more reach, better video and so forth. The a6700 is a big camera in a small body. Reviews talk about the EVF not having the highest resolution - my experience is that it is fantastic! I really don't have any complaints. The auto-focus, the tracking, the camera options - everything is in there from the A7 and even the A9 cameras. A great lens selection too. I watched Mark Galer (Sony Ambassador) on Your Tube and learned about this camera, recommended lenses and its capabilities overall. A photographer of any skill level would be pushed to exceed the functionality of this design. And while I still enjoy my little Olympus so much so that I just had the lens repaired by Olympus (come on OM-Systems, where's the new Pen?), the a6700 is professional.

No having stabilization is probably the only downside - everything works perfectly for wildlife photo and video

Borrowed a friends A6300 for a few months before purchasing this A6700. Amazing features, much improved menu layout and so much more. This little camera is chock full of the latest technology. I can't speak more highly about this update to the A6000 line! Makes anyone a pro quickly!

This is my seventh Sony APS camera and each one is better than the last one. I shoot mostly fashion and glamour and shoot up to 1000 images per week, usually on the Sony full frame flagship A1 camera. Other than a smaller sensor, the handling and results seem to me to be equal to the more expensive model that is over four times the price. The focus including the eye focus is greatly improved from the previous models. The color is great as is the resolution on the sensor. On my computer monitor I do not see a difference from the Sony A1. My favorite lenses due to quality are the Sony 18-105 f/4 OSS G lens and the Sigma 56 mm f/1.4 lens. I have many 20" x 30" prints from these cameras that are tack sharp. The only negatives are the total lack of battery charger included from Sony although Adorama does include these along with an extra battery. Also the menu is quite complicated although being a Sony shooter for so many years I did not have any problems with it. In summary this is an outstanding camera capable of truly professional results. The handling and images are equal to the heavier, and more expensive professional flagship cameras. I am considering making this my every day camera.

Great camera. I was disappointed because the 6100-6400 have the built in flash, and this 6700 didn't have one. Also the flip screen is on the side. I prefer the flip screen to be on the top. Great lens and quality.

I love this camera and it shoots great pictures, like everything is so clear and smooth. I would recommend this camera to anyone. It's a hybrid cause it take pictures and does videos in 4k.

Sony A6700 camera overheats very fast, and is not only when shooting video as others are reporting, also when you browse thru menu settings or when waiting to take a picture or video (on idle), it gets very uncomfortable to carry as it gets very hot before shutting down itself, not a reliable camera for when you need it. I am very disappointment that I expended a lot of money for a camera that shuts down after a few minutes. Firmware also upgraded to the latest 1.3 and is the same scenario, I really feel that this was a really bad purchase from my end.

Received the camera only, in 2 days. It took a couple more days for the rest of the accessories in the package deal. I had previously used a 2011 Sony a65, and compared to that, the a6700 is amazing. Especially the Auto Focus system. The low light ability is amazing. This camera has all of Sony's latest advanced features, in an APSC Camera. I specifically want an APSC because of the Crop Factor. Makes my 70 - 200 act like a 105 - 350mmm. I do mostly Marching Band Photos under stadium lights, or Indoor Guard events, also not the greatest lighting conditions. So far I really love the a6700.

My first digital camera since 2010 when my Lumix failed and I reverted to using the iPhone. For over 10 years I've used my iPhone as my camera and am now ready for a full digital camera experience. I am not disappointed with the Sony a6700. It's an awesome machine, something that will grow with me and cover all the uses I bought it for: nature and travel photography and, astrophotography.

I have been using Sony alpha cameras for the last couple of years and the a6700 is probably one of the best.

I love this thing, great body style, grip, packed with modern future proof specs and features. Good build quality. Problem to why I giving it a 1 star is that after barely 30 days of owning this thing with less than 400 shutter count, my camera started to intermittently not boot up, nothing on screen and red led light flashes, 3 times then 1 time and repeats. Would require to remove battery and reinsert for it to boot, after that it usually works fine. Sometimes it wont even boot up at all if after removing the battery. Some reason, sony tech support doesn't know how to diagnose the flashing sequence, its clearly telling us that camera is faulty and what could be the solution or error. Now I have to send camera out after just having it for 1 month and be out of a camera for 2-3 weeks. If it wasnt for this weird issue and poor experience, i think this camera is 10 out of 5. Its that good, sadly the faulty issue and lack of information to what the diagnostic flashing could mean.

I'm very happy that I upgraded my camera choice from the Sony Cyber-shot DSC RX100 to the Sony a6700 with 3.5 zoom lens. They are both great cameras, but the ability to acquire high quality lenses with this apsc camera, 26 megapixels, AI infused system, with outstanding multi-focus capabilities is a no brainer. For $200 more, this camera system allows me to grow into my current and future photography needs with massive improvement. Moreover, the Adorama camera bundle is a very helpful accessory as well. This photography equipment set is a great buy for someone seeking high value and reasonable cost.

Pairs well with my a7R4, interesting updates to menu nav, more detailed subject recognition, seems a bit more accurate getting focus. Have yet to try focus bracket but this is something I wish the a7R4 had as an option. Fully articulating screen as opposed to only tilt on a7R4 (I like both types, sometimes a quick tilt is nice). No input for wired shutter release on a6700, no built in flash, only 1 sd slot (might expect more here, but by no means dealbreakers). For the price, definitely worth it. So far, taking great photo after photo with it. And yet to take many videos, but seems quite capable of taking great videos.

I am brand new to photography and was intimidated by all the choices. I settled on the Sony A6700 because I knew all the features would get me through many years of learning. While I am still trying to get my bearings, the A6700 is very intuitive and easy to navigate. I have small arthritic hands with carpal tunnel so the size and weight is perfect. I absolutely love that as a beginner, the A6700 has allowed me to take beautiful images to further excite me about photography! I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone!

I have the Sony A7III and still love that camera. Now, I decided to get the A-6700 for it's small factor and I got say, I really love this camera. Sure, is not even close to my A7III in low light, that camera is still a beast in that respect, but for an APS-C, I do believe it does perform really well. The AF in low light blew my mind, literally. I makes my A7III looks like an ancient camera for AF, and that's really not the case, is just soooo much better. That's one reason I got the A6700, because I'm really low light places with my camera. For me it's a great trade off, the AF for the low light capability.

love the image quality and every it brought to me after upgrading from my nikon d3300. i have this issue where, when taking photos, the camera would sometime shutoff while taking stills for (5-7 secs), as is you were taking a long exposure photo. i would switch it off then back on and the screen would not come back on on immediately. the display would come on the seconds later and no functions would be available for about 4 secs....then the camera would come back fully functional. it did this to me in a wedding 5 times, its like glitch, and we dont shoot in burst mode, only single. i thought it was the original sony flash i bought that was causing it, but it still happened while working with natural sunlight. the video is fine. no complains at all, im so glad to finally have a great video camera after all these years. but my camera is practically new, no falls or water spills, this is my new baby. for context, i use the pro grade 128gb UHSII cards, sigma 30mm f1.4, auto review setting on so i can see my compositions as i capture them, everything else i leave as is and i am completely baffled as to why im having this experience. i don't if this is a firmware issue as i can assure you this occurs in room temperature environs with the high setting on

I love this little guy. AI autofocus is amazing. A6700 is the best APS-C camera to date. I owned 6500 and a7C, and this camera beat those hands down. I use it for wildlife photography with the Sigma 150-600 combo. This is a beast for the price range.

In most ways good, and better than the last iteration, but the noise is about a stop worse than the a6600 and it gets pretty warm shooting stills. I found that turning off all the subject seeking functions keeps it somewhat cooler, so I keep them off when I don't need them. The colors, dynamic range, and stabilization are all noticeably improved, and since I like shooting JPG, the finer control of their properties is a big deal for me. The stabilization seems a lot better than the claims they are making. I've had it about a month. The image with this review is a chart for the video capabilities that I reformatted for readability. It shows both this a6700 and the a7R V.

Purchased from a UK dealer. Sadly Sony do not provide a charger nor a charging lead. Both the battery supplied with the kit and the Sony spare I purchased were completely exhausted so I was unable to test my new acquisition which was so disappointing. After 3 hours charging using a cable I found, the battery achieved a charge of 15%. I have therefore ordered a Sony wall charger at a significant cost and hope that I'll soon be able to charge my batteries. NEVER in my life have I purchased a battery powered device that came without a charger or even a compatible cable. I cannot understand the logic of failing to provide an item that is essential to begin to use the device.

The camera is awesome. I have paired it with a Tamron 17-70 APSC lens and it does owrk very nicely for the intended purpose: travel, landscape and occasional impromptu portrait. One point that I was not aware of - it does not have the multipurpose micro USB port anymore, so no external intervalometer, but I hope I will be able to make do with the internal software one. Also, if important, it does not have an internal Flash any more, so probably I will have to purchase a small flash to cover any needs when traveling.

I was looking to upgrade from an a6000 (which is a great beginner camera for learning in a compact form with capable stills) as it was starting to feel dated and a bit limiting, especially for being interested in trying out video. I was thinking of getting a full frame camera but was hesitant due to the larger, heavier form factor and more expensive accessories as I am a hobbyist. Then the a6700 came out and I was excited to check it out. It offered many quality of life improvements, some improvement for photography and greatly improved video that offers everything I need to fully explore and learn about video. After checking out many reviews online, I decided to go for it and I have to say I am happy with my decision and it even exceeded my expectations. To conclude, the a6700 is a powerful APSC camera with a relatively small form factor that feels great to use. It has great performance in photography and very capable in video. The only real drawback I can think of is that it can overheat over longer periods of intensive recording at high resolution, frame rate and bitrate. I personally don't require this as I am more focused on photography and interested in shorter videos, which makes this camera a great pickup for me.

Amazing update from the 6600!
By KennyM
I have only had this for 24 hours, but already I love it! The auto focus and tracking are very impressive and the a6700 is an enormous update from the a6600 and is great match for my a7Rv, matching it's performance in just about every way.
Great camera. Outstanding auto focus.

Had this three weeks now and I used it to photograph a friends daughters wedding. Excellent images sharp, crisp and highly detailed. It replaced my A7R which is still a great camera but a bit old now.
