Great for people used to APS-C bodies

The a7C II boasts a new 33.0 megapixel Exmor R CMOS image sensor, delivering high-speed readout, high sensitivity from ISO 100 to ISO 51200, and low noise. This ensures excellent image quality for both stills and movies, with highly accurate color reproduction.
The advanced BIONZ XR processing engine, up to eight times more powerful than its predecessor, minimizes processing latency and boosts image processing power. This results in natural gradations, realistic color, low noise, superior image quality, and fast menu response.
The a7C II's advanced AE algorithm, combined with the latest processing engine, can detect the skin area of faces and adjust exposure accordingly for both stills and movies. This ensures consistent exposure control in challenging shooting conditions, whether your subject is backlit, in shadows, direct sunlight, or not directly facing the camera.
The camera's Creative Look feature offers 10 customizable presets, allowing you to set the visual mood of your shots. You can use the presets as they are or adjust eight parameters, including contrast, saturation, and shadows, to create shareable stills and movies in-camera without the need for post-production editing.
The a7C II offers lossless RAW image compression for efficient file sizes without loss in image quality. This enables the camera to shoot up to 27 frames in continuous bursts. There are three lossless-compression image sizes (S/M/L) to suit any application, and a Light image quality selection that generates less data for JPEG and HEIF images.
The camera's advanced optical 5-axis image stabilization ensures more stable handheld shooting for stills. The high-precision image stabilization unit, advanced gyro sensors, and optimized image stabilization algorithms effectively compensate for up to 7.0-steps of camera shake.
The a7C II is compatible with Sony's extensive lineup of optically advanced E-mount lenses, including the G Master series and the G Lens series. These lenses offer a wide range of photographic and videographic applications, further enhancing your creative possibilities.
