Surprisingly like the 24-70mm it is “Dust and moisture-resistant design”. Nice touch for a value lens. The lens barely extends at all during its full zoom sweep. Not internal zoom technically, but as close as you could get. Small and light. Silent focus. Fast focusing, especially in good light as is expected. OSS, or Image Stabilization. Advanced aspherical lens technology
Aspherical lens technology maximizes portability without sacrificing imaging power. The lens combines three aspherical elements with one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element to deliver high-precision shots and breathtaking rendering without the bulky design usually associated with similar DSLR lenses.
Extra-low Dispersion glass element
Lenses constructed with conventional optical glass struggle with chromatic aberration as the focal length increases. Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass technology was developed to counter these issues, delivering superior contrast and color quality across the entire focal length, even at large aperture settings.
Optical Steady Shot image stabilization
Optical Steady Shot keeps your image stable even when your hands aren't. By compensating for the minor hand motions that can cause blurring and distortion, Optical Steady Shot ensures brilliant photographic results, even at high zooms.
7-blade circular aperture
The 7-blade circular design keeps the aperture almost perfectly circular throughout the full range of F-stops. This makes it possible to achieve smoother, more natural defocusing in your images - including artistic blurring or 'bokeh' - and greater control over the depth of field.
