Kodak Tri-X Rocks!!!

Tri-x has been my favorite film for many years. It's a breeze scanning or printing in my darkroom. So glad that it's back in my price range again. I also like how Adorama sweetened up the deal and basically threw in a a free Pro Optic Cleaning Kit. Plus, the film they sent in the 10-pack is super fresh.

Getting TX400 "GREAT" results

I always always get great results with this film. Like dad said you only get what you pay for so you want the best "BUY" the best. Being new to film I need all the help I can get but i am getting there. Oh yea learning developing too. Pretty easy to do. I would recommend this film to anyone who "WANTS" quality.

A true classic

This is a good moderate speed black and white film. It was the standard until train films came out. So why is tri-x still available decades after tmax and delta and similar t grain films came on the market? There's just something about tri-x.

My go to bw film. Fast enough for all types of weather, great depth of grayscale and able to hold on when being pull two stops. I hope it is still available for long time.

The Legend

It's 400TX. Its reputation precedes it. Sharp film despite the graininess, killer tones and a lot of latitude.

Best B&W Film Ever

By JAMES H.

All the great ones used it - Cartier-Bresson, Winogrand.... Still better than anything one can whip up in Photoshop. Funny how software designers are creating plug-ins that recreate the look and feel of Tri-X. Just use Tri-X! Excellent tonal range, wonderful, raw grain. D76 1:1 and skip the photo labs.

My alltime favorite film

By Rich P.

I started out 30-odd years ago with my first 35mm camera and fell in love with Tri-X. Today I am a fulltime photojournalist with a small newspaper shooting digital. BUT when I want to shoot for my own personal work, I pull out my dad's Yashica GS35 and rolls of Tri. It does more to improve my eye than anything else.

Where artistic vision meets classic monochrome expression, the Kodak Tri-X Pan 400 Black & White Negative Film stands as the professional's choice. This high-speed ISO 400/27° film is renowned for its exceptional image quality and fine grain. Ideal for capturing life's spontaneous moments, the Tri-X Pan 400 excels in low-light conditions and fast-paced scenarios, ensuring that photographers can freeze motion with faster shutter speeds and achieve a greater depth of field.

Crafted for versatility and reliability, the Tri-X Pan 400 film is perfectly suited for a range of photographic applications, from street photography to portraiture, where its ability to handle challenging lighting conditions shines. Its 36 exposures offer ample opportunities to create compelling narratives in each roll, making it a durable and high-quality choice for both seasoned professionals and passionate enthusiasts.

The film's panchromatic sensitivity allows for a wide tonal range, delivering rich blacks and nuanced shades of gray that are the hallmark of classic black and white photography. The Tri-X Pan 400 is also well-regarded for its push-processing capabilities, enabling photographers to explore creative effects and adapt to varying lighting situations without compromising on clarity and detail.

Available in the popular 35mm format, this film is compatible with a wide array of cameras and lenses, ensuring that it integrates seamlessly into the workflow of photographers dedicated to the art of film. Additionally, the 120-size film can be retouched on the emulsion side, offering further creative control in the post-processing stage.

Choose Kodak Tri-X Pan 400 Black & White Negative Film for a professional-grade medium that consistently delivers high-quality results and empowers photographers to push the boundaries of their craft.
