Bring your photography to the next level with the 82mm IR/UV Cut Color Correcting Hot Mirror Lens Filter, a specialized tool also known as a lowpass filter or UV/IR cut filter. This advanced lens filter is designed to block infrared light and some UV light, enabling a full spectrum converted camera to capture images as a normal camera would. The filter is ideally paired with a two-spectrum converted camera for optimal color rendition. It is the first of its kind, specifically designed for use with a full spectrum or two-spectrum converted camera, and mimics the transmission of the hot mirror filters typically found in cameras. Our hot mirror lens filters are now enhanced with an anti-reflective, corrosion-resistant coating. This feature significantly reduces artifacts and boosts the filter's durability, particularly in humid regions. Please note that this coating is applicable up to 82mm size filters. One unique characteristic of this filter is its blue color, which is a visual confirmation that the filter is blocking the same wavelengths as the original lowpass filters found in cameras. This is unlike other hot mirror filters that are clear. Unlike the B+W 486 filter, a popular hot mirror filter, our product does not block light by interference but uses absorption. This ensures that the color remains consistent, regardless of the angle of incidence. While the B+W 486 may cause color changes on wide angles around the edges, our filter will not. Our filter requires no exposure compensation and is designed with aggressive IR blockage to eliminate IR leak on all camera models. It also has more UV transmission than many cameras, making it ideal for outdoor use when paired with a UV filter, or even better, used over our two-spectrum conversion. For superior results, pair this filter with our two-spectrum conversion to filter out as much UV light as most current camera lowpass filters. A full spectrum camera, without a filter, will appear very red and needs some form of hot mirror filter to take regular pictures.
