The FC-4002 MultiCoder Universal Analog & Digital Format Video Transcoder & TBC from Comprehensive/Kramer Electronics is a high performance broadcast-quality universal video transcoder for use with analog and digital video signals. This unit is designed to convert (1) composite video, S-video (Y/C), component video (RGB/S), or SDI video signal to (1) SDI, component, composite, or S-video output signals. It is ideal for use in video broadcasting and editing studios, post-production work and presentation applications, among many other possible uses.
The device features a bandwidth capacity of - 0.5dB to 5MHz (-3dB). Other features include a looping analog sync input, freeze frame functionality, selectable sync signal termination and a built-in time base corrector. The front panel can be locked out to prevent unwanted access and tampering. This unit can be controlled via its front-panel interface, RS-232, or dip switches. It includes a worldwide power supply and is well suited for standalone or rackmount placement.
