Purchased from Optics Planet, this scope cover fits too tightly for the Razor 85mm scope to be field useable. I've spoken to helpful Vortex customer support folks about this, and hope this great company will make a more suitable scope cover. And I was unsuccessful in adapting the scope cover for the earlier 85mm Razor angled scope this model has replaced.

I like the design of the scope cover. However, information says it fits scopes up to 82mm, but it will not work with the Razor 85mm objective lens. It is way too tight. Our prior Razor 85mm scope case will have to do, although I've had to entirely remove the objective cover, as the replacement model is much longer. Vortex could make a similar scope case specifically for large objective angled scope (which we really like).

Doesn't fit the athlon talos too well and not very padded but it does the job

It is a well made case for my Vortex Spotting Scope. The only problem is that it is fairly tight to put on. The Vortex Spotting Scope I have is the 20-60X85 angled scope. With the scope being 85mm diameter at the front, makes it quite tight. The 65mm diameter scope would fit a lot better. I would not recommend it for the 85mm diameter scope, but if it's smaller than that, it would be fine.

I have two of these, one I bought about 10 years ago to go over the neoprene fitted case that came with my Zeiss Dialyt 85. It is quite faded from much use, but still in great shape. I recently purchased another to go over my Kowa 883 and it fits nicely. Kowa, by the way, makes great scopes but both of their available scope cases are awful (and they are $70 and $100). Over both scopes, the case allows me to keep the lens hood somewhat extended - it is a real hassle to try and pull out a lens hood when it's all the way in a snug fitting case. The new case appears to be of the same quality construction as my durable 10 year old case. Very pleased.
