Solution To a Too Small Camera
When I received my first Canon R5 Camera I found it too small for my hand and not the kind of "handle" I wanted to steer my large Canon Super Telephoto lenses. (Like any other Canon interchangeable lens camera, except for pro DSLRs, it lacked the controls one should have for shooting in "portrait mode" without having to cock his wrist to the left by ninety degrees. I hoped that the addition of Canon's dedicated battery grip would adequately address these shortcomings.
Attaching it to my R5, I was immediately pleased by the result. Suddenly, it felt like the kind of camera I was used to, and its auxiliary controls worked as they should. Of course the addition of a second battery doubled my potential shooting time before changing batteries. Thus, it met all of my intended purposes splendidly.
My primary interest is wildlife photography, and I would not own a camera without a grip. This model was well worth the purchase price.!

Worth it.
While expensive, the grip is a great addition. It's substantial - in both size/weight, but makes holding the camera easier and more comfortable. The ability to utilize a second set of controls is key and very helpful. It's an investment, but worth it.

Great grip
This is the perfect grip for the R5. Between being able to change angles easily (with the second set of buttons to make shooting simple) as well as the ability to have 2 batteries, this is a no-brainer.

Canon battery grip a must have tool!
Works great. Only way to shoot all day and have power to run auto tracking and focus. Ergonomics are spot on. All functions easily useable. Only wish the latches were metal and not plastic. Otherwise a must have accessory!

One little gripe.....

Canon BG R-10
When it's available to you, ALWAYS purchase the mated vertical grip for any Canon camera. It doubles the battery power, as it holds TWO of them. Also, there are a 2nd set of shutter + basic buttons in the vertical position. This always makes shooting even more enjoyable.

The Best grip money can buy
This grip is a game changer, as a wedding photographer I was switching battery?s 3-4 times a wedding but with this grip my R5 lasted the whole day, along will the extra buttons for faster access to setting I?ll never shoot with out it, definitely a must buy

It?s so ergonomic and it makes your R5C more professional looking. For me, it is little bit pricey, I was expecting two batteries included with this price.

Could be better.
The grip fits nicely but I have one complaint. It takes some extra effort to lock the battery into the one-battery slot. It easily falls out if you aren?t very deliberate ant cautions. I don?t know about the 2nd battery slot because I only put one battery in my vertical grips routinely.

Battery grip
A little expensive but a quality product, makes handling the R6 and R5 easier and having two batteries means you can shoot all day without worrying about losing power.
