Hangrip

Fits nicely in my hand. I have smaller hands so this is great, but there’s still enough room for those with larger hands. Once screwed into the camera, it feels secure and comfortable. Would recommend.

Comfortable and Sturdy

This is being used on a long lens in order to help stabilize when not using a monopod or tripod and works quite well.

Handgrip

Used on my 2 year old Canon Vixia HF G40 Camcorder. Without this grip, I get wrist strain and my fingers can ache. I will guess that VIXIA designers must not go out on vacation with their products to get a real world feel. With this grip, the balance and the hold are better improved with the addition of a microphone. I can pass the camcorder to anyone, and they have no problem holding it. It seems more natural to hold it this way. Though it is mostly a plastic handle, I never feared it would fail. This item has been to two trips to Europe. Hand-tightening the knurled wheel is secure enough for me. The added D-ring allows use of a strap. The only negative I have is that when mounted on the Vixia, it does not fit in my camera bag. But, any new design improvements would lead to an increase in price. I am impressed with this DLC grip.
