Excellent adapter ring versus the "value" offerings.

Being an adapter ring my expectations were pretty middle of the road considering what it is. I was wrong. There's a reason that some adapter rings are cheap and others are more of an investment. This ring goes on smooth, doesn't have alot of resistance, and doesn't get stuck like the cheap adapter rings. Overall a worthy investment to go with the X100 filter holder which is, also, in a class of its own.

Perfect Fit

A perfect fit for the X100 filter holder and it securely fastens to the lens. I like it that everything is aluminum and no plastic.

Skip the mattebox weight and cost! Mount your square filters directly to your lenses! The Breakthrough Photography X100 Aluminum Adapter Ring screws directly onto the filter thread of your lens to mount the X100 Square Filter Holder by Breakthrough Photography. Properly support the lens to accommodate the extra weight of the square filter and holder which is much smaller and lighter than the average matte box system. Adapter rings are available for lens thread diameters from 49mm to 86mm so the fit is exact for professional applications. Finish of the ring is matte black to make the material non-reflective.
