Used RucPac Pro Hardcase Backpack Conversion

This was a pure necessity for a recent mountain bike photo/video shoot. I was able to bring my full kit in a Pelican Air 1535 with these backpack straps attached on the plane, and then ride with that hardcase to the venue for the shoot. Total pack weight was 26 lbs and it held no problem, with me bouncing across uneven terrain. The velcro adhesive is very strong and there is plenty of it provided in the kit. My only gripe about the whole thing is the way the load bearing straps that attach to the top handle of the case are threaded through the buckle. It's a real PITA to install and I may try to come up with my own load bearing quick connection for it. That said, there shouldn't be much need to remove the straps once attached since the case will roll just fine with the hip belt tucked into the back pad. I would definitely recommend this version of the kit versus the cheaper option without the back pad and hip belt. With the pad and belt this case never made me uncomfortable.

Works great! Would be nice if it was easier to strap on the case, but once it?s on there it?s good.
