Remote Audio Speakeasy R1 Powered Stereo Speaker System

Because of its compact and lightweight design, the Speakeasy R1 Powered Stereo Speaker System is a versatile audio solution, perfect for both remote audio production and facility equipment rooms. This self-contained, 12VDC powered speaker system is ingeniously built into a single rack space, offering a low current draw of just 55mA at idle, making it an energy-efficient choice for your audio needs.

The R1 is equipped with line-level inputs, designed to accommodate standard line-level signal ratings of -10dbV to +4dBu, or the signal from a stereo headphone jack. This feature ensures compatibility with a wide range of audio sources. The system also includes two XLR inputs, allowing for a stereo input signal, enhancing the quality and depth of the sound produced.

One of the standout features of the Speakeasy R1 is the XLR / 1/4" combo jack. This allows for a stereo input signal on the 1/4" connector, enabling a single cable to feed the system. This design simplifies the integration of the Speakeasy R1 into an existing cart setup with a headphone feed from a mixer using a 1/4" TRS to TRS cable.

The system also includes two DC input connectors for added convenience: a 4-pin XLR (Pin 4: V+, Pin 1: Gnd) and a 2.1mm coaxial-type DC jack (center pin positive). The Speakeasy R1 can operate on a range of 9 - 20VDC, offering flexibility in power sources.

The main power push-button is conveniently located on the front of the unit and illuminates when pressed and sufficient power is present at either of the DC input jacks. The main volume control and source selector knob apply to the main speakers, as well as the headphone connector. When headphones are plugged into the front 1/4" jack, the main speakers are automatically muted, ensuring a private listening experience.

The source selector allows monitoring of: Left input only; Right input only; Stereo; or a summed Mono version of the Left and Right inputs. This feature provides you with the flexibility to customize your listening experience according to your needs.
