About PHABRIX AV Delay Analysis

With the AV Delay Analysis Measurement Software License for the Rx Rasterizer Series, you can enhance your PHABRIX Rx rasterizer's capabilities, ensuring seamless synchronization between audio and video data in your SDI feeds. This software is designed to address common issues such as lip sync errors or AV delay, which can disrupt the viewer's experience.

The AV Delay Analysis software is a critical tool for understanding and managing AV delay throughout broadcast workflows. It measures the differential delay between video and up to eight audio channel pairs in real-time, providing you with accurate and immediate feedback.

This software license supports all Rx supported video formats and frame rates on SDI, making it a versatile addition to your workflow. It also includes support for two AV Delay test patterns: EBU Tech 3305 and LAWO V_line AV Sync test pattern, providing you with a comprehensive toolset for AV delay analysis.

The AV Delay Analysis software is fully compatible with PHABRIX Sx AV Delay pattern generation and measurement. It provides real-time updates of the differential delay between the video and all eight audio channel pairs. A positive (+) measurement indicates that the audio pulse is lagging behind the video, while a negative (-) measurement signifies that the audio pulse is ahead of the video. When the video and audio are perfectly in sync, the software will measure zero delay.

The software measures the differential delay between the video and the selected audio in 0.1ms steps, with an accuracy of 1ms and an operating range of +/-400ms. The generator tool can offset the source audio by up to 40 frames, extending the measurement operating range to over +/- 1 second.

This software license is available for the PHABRIX Rx 500, Rx 1000, and Rx 2000 instruments. The Rx 500 is a 2-channel analyzer/generator with monitoring rasterizer. The Rx 1000 is a compact 4-channel analyzer/generator with monitoring rasterizer. The Rx 2000 is a 4-channel analyzer/generator with dual built-in screens and audio speakers for monitoring.

In essence, the AV Delay Analysis Measurement Software License for the Rx Rasterizer Series is a powerful tool for ensuring optimal audio-video synchronization in your broadcast workflows.
