Well it works as expected, however it is about the size of a dime and costs $130. I can’t give it 5 stars simply because it’s just not reasonable for this to be $130. However if you need this to see clearly it does the job well.

I'm farsighted. I don't wear contact lenses, as all I ever need are reading glasses. Using the M9 was always a challenge for me when it came to critical focusing while using fast lenses (f/1.4, f/1.2, etc). I finally bit the bullet and bought this diopter... perfection! Important Note: The built in Leica M9 diopter is set at -5. So if like me, you need a +1.5 prescription in the real world, you'll need to get a +2.0 diopter for your camera.

For glass-wearing people like me, these correction lens are essential. However, the price is almost prohibitive. After all, that is Leica.

For those of us who wear glasses, this is a great accessory. It allows clear, precise focus without glasses. This allows the shooter to see the entire frame in .72 M cameras for the 35 and 28 mm frames.
